| Thanks for the BUMP! Wow, it's been 3 months. I was looking for this thread because I am so very thankful for my pet's vets. Max has been having some problems since we got him, 7 weeks ago. My local vet has been so instrumental in his well being. They knew that Max's condition was out of their hands so I was referred to a specialist at LSU (Louisiana State University). LSU has been such an incredible experience for us. There state of the art technology is second to none and they were extremely thorough. They have a team of college students and veterinarians that sit in on each patient so they actually spend time and analyze the information. Max's lead veterinarian there gave me her email address because she needed to see additional videos of Max. Anytime I have a question, I'm able to email her and she responds promptly. My local vet hospital is amazing. The reception staff adores my dogs and always ask where the "other one" is if I only bring one in that day for an appointment. They miss my crazy Yorkies? My vet knows that I'm a member of Yorkietalk and that I tend to do a lot of research on my own. I don't know a whole lot about yorkie health, but whatever I bring to them we discuss openly, respectfully. My local vet gave me her personal email address in case I had any questions. She just sent me an email this morning stating that she's thinking about Max and Cooper and hoping that they are doing well. If I need anything, feel free to call her cell! We are facebook friends too now I am so thrilled with my veterinarians. I am so utterly confident that they can help, to the best of their abilities, me and my family through any pet related issues that may aries.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Well I have a mixed review about Vets. First the good news, the specialists I saw at VEH and my Osteo specialist in Caledon Hills are very very good and competent, and treat me any my boys very well indeed. I have a Rare breed, and of course appt's are brebooked and it was obvious to me they had done some homework prior to the first visit on my breed, and even more as every time I returned. I was aghast at the lack of care at one on the preeminent vet hospitals in Ontario. OVC> They had absolutely no Program of Care ready for my dog they ddx'd with DLSS. As well they lost the MRI results, never called me, lost the original clinical report, it was SNAFU all the way there. My general Vet I am not pleased with at all. We are currently looking for a new vet. She is Not and hasn't informed herself of our breeds. and I tell you with 4 animals going to her yearly, she just doesn't seem interested in keeping my business. I have had to re emphasize Yorkie Protocol on Vaccines, I have to reemphasize the BRT unique health concerns, I have had to re explain yet again another Diagnostic test that was done at OVC and sent to her. So this woman is at least two thumbs down, before we get into her heavily accented English which is so hard to understand.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | My vet saved my cat Amanda when she was about five years old and had a massive furball blocking her intestine. When her health began to fail due to old age, he helped me manage her various conditions and keep her happy for more than three years. And did the same for my dog. |

| I really like the vet I take my girls to. Dr.s Swaize calls me back and talks to me personally when I have a concern. I live 50 miles away from them so it is very nice to have direct feedback from him . the place I go to is a accredited hospital , and their prices are very good. I have become very upset and cried my eyes out when Miely was injured , and they were so understanding. I had to keep Suzi all day at the vets when she was ill , and the Dr. was so good about working out a alternative plan. Instead of having to keep her overnight all alone in a cage. They work with me and do what is best for the girls. I only wish that I lived closer to them .

| We owe Skye's life to the veterinary staff at our local emergency animal hospital. She was diagnosed with parvo in April. I could see in the vet's eyes that she didn't want to give us much hope - but we told them to do everything possible to save her. She was in intensive care with round the clock care. Her nurse, Meredith, loved on her and let her know there was a reason to live. Skye pulled through despite the odds being stacked against her. If it weren't for the staff at the hospital literally doing everything possible to save her, she wouldn't be here licking my face today. Just amazes me! |

| I love our vets. My family has been using the same vet practice for over 12 years now. They have two great vets there and they are just awesome. It's a busy practice, but they always manage to squeeze you in during an emergency and just do a good job of ensuring all their patients get excellent care. But, by far, one of the best things our vets did for us was come to the house when we had to put one of our dogs to sleep this past summer. It was the hardest thing in the world to say goodbye to him, but being able to have his life end comfortably in the home he loved was the most amazing thing our vet could have ever given us. To know that he died peacefully, comfortably, and with absolutely no stress made the whole process so much easier for us and for him. We will forever be grateful for that.
