I was looking for this thread because I am so very thankful for my pet's vets. Max has been having some problems since we got him, 7 weeks ago. My local vet has been so instrumental in his well being. They knew that Max's condition was out of their hands so I was referred to a specialist at LSU (Louisiana State University). LSU has been such an incredible experience for us. There state of the art technology is second to none and they were extremely thorough. They have a team of college students and veterinarians that sit in on each patient so they actually spend time and analyze the information. Max's lead veterinarian there gave me her email address because she needed to see additional videos of Max. Anytime I have a question, I'm able to email her and she responds promptly.
My local vet hospital is amazing. The reception staff adores my dogs and always ask where the "other one" is if I only bring one in that day for an appointment. They miss my crazy Yorkies? My vet knows that I'm a member of Yorkietalk and that I tend to do a lot of research on my own. I don't know a whole lot about yorkie health, but whatever I bring to them we discuss openly, respectfully. My local vet gave me her personal email address in case I had any questions. She just sent me an email this morning stating that she's thinking about Max and Cooper and hoping that they are doing well. If I need anything, feel free to call her cell! We are facebook friends too now
I am so thrilled with my veterinarians. I am so utterly confident that they can help, to the best of their abilities, me and my family through any pet related issues that may aries.
