I had a rescue from a puppy mill called Ginger - but she was a dachsie.

I have an ex breeding puppymill bichon. yesterday something startled her and she screamed with fear. Thats a sound i will never forget. I would like to get my hands on the people who owned her during her 6 years of hell.

I know the feeling! The puppymill where my dachsies had come from actually sued the county for taking the animals away and depriving her of her income - needless to say she lost.
But I have heard rumors that she has set up somewhere else under her daughters name! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I just did some checking, and the owner of the puppy mill in Tampa was banned from owning or breeding animals for 10 years. She was convicted in 1999. Her business was Toyland Pet Resort, and I just checked the state website for businesses, and someone registered the fictitious name Toyland Pet Resort at the same address in 2009 - 10 years after the conviction. The rumors about her operating again under a family members name may very well be true. This makes me sick!

Might not be a bad idea to forward that info to the local ASPCA. It just may cause her to be inspected. ANYTHING that may prevent her from starting where she left off.
In my opinion, once an abuser, always an abuser. She probably never stopped in the first place.

It says 400 poodles, but there were others as well. Nutmeg, one of the Dachsies I had from that rescue had a number "435" round her neck.

I sold one adult yorkie off of here, for a nominal fee. I went thru hell to find her a good home, then the vet told the owner they needed all these surgeriers. It was pure crap.

That is sickening. I wish there was more we could do to get puppymills/puppyfarms closed down. It makes me feel so helpless. I feel i owe it to Poppy to do as much as i can.
