| This is a cute thread! When a customer comes in the shop, Uni will go say hi (if they are worthy of it ) then go to the back and bring out a toy to show off. If she gets tired of me ignoring her bc I'm on the computer too long, she will walk over and plop right down on my laptop. She makes a noise when she yawns. She sometimes still goes potty in the bathtub (that's how we trained her at first). She loves to throw her wishbones and cowtails across the room when she is really hyper. She gets some good distance sometimes.

| My Yorkies lick my feet as well when I take a shower, a Vet, friend of mine, told me that they do that because they want to dry you when you're wet, its a good bonding ritual Maria |

| Oh Wow. Our little babies have so many cute habits. Cadia also likes to lick us when we get out of the shower. The funniest thing I have ever saw her do was, pretend she was a cat and try to catch the mouse pointer from both the laptop screen and she'll even paw at the back of the laptop screen in hopes of catching the mouse pointer..lol |

| Quigley helps me garden. He sees me cutting off the old dying flowers and he'll tilt his head and bite off one and bring it to me just wagging his little tail like 'look mom I helped!'. Unfortunately he always bites off the live, pretty ones! But it's just so cute~ |

| Kobe does that with my sock too, he will follow me to my closest and wait. He takes the first one, runs out the door and makes sure the he makes it back for the second one. I have a habit of taking my sock half off then start taking off the rest of my uniform... he makes sure he takes it off the rest of the way.

| But the cutest thing he does, he has a baby blanket with a bear head on it. And when he is tired or something he will knead the blanket and suck on its nose until he falls asleep. He looks like a baby sucking a pacifier.

| Bilbo won't sit on a hard surface. He has to have carpet, a rug, a towel or blanket to sit on or he won't sit. He takes his kibble one piece at a time under the dining table. If a treat or a piece of food is too big, he won't eat it, he'll try to "bury" it with his nose. When he is playing in his wading pool, he tries to scratch off the fish that are painted on the bottom of the pool. His idea of playing fetch is playing keep away. His most precious quirk is when he wants to cuddle, he buries his nose in my armpit. For some reason, that just melts my heart! |

| I was just giggling about some of these things today. My Mia & Max do this synchronized flossie exchange dance. It's hilarious! We give them a Merricks Flossie at night when we go to bed to watch tv. First, each one will look at both items and decide which one they want - only Max is a little greedy and really wants them both! Then they lay down on the bed and chew for about 10 minutes. Then they each get up like they have some signal and walk over to where the other one was and start chewing on that Flossie. Soo funny! Mia is the one that takes the last little piece of Flossie and will dig with her paws, shovel with her nose, and pull a blanket with her teeth to cover the little piece up. She'll do it for 2-3 minutes and then after she's all done - she grabs it and goes lay down somewhere else. LOL! Max is a thief! He loves socks! Hubby will (or used to) lay his clothes out on the bed just before getting dressed. Inevitably, Max will have one or both of his socks (before he can turn around) and heading for the back doggie door! I hate to admit it but he has been known to take my big girl panties out the door too. Although, it does take him a little longer!

Tucker then taught Izzy to do it as well. They each have their own blanket and they both fall asleep sucking a corner of their blankets.. | |

| Oh My gosh, I thought I was the only one who's dogs were quirky LOL Mooshe, our oldest (yorkie-poos) has to have one of his stuffed babies to sleep with every day in his mouth and if you watch closely he's sucking on it in his sleep, his comfort measure, he was our first and alone while we worked. Luka, his brother to Mooshe (yorkiepoo) he's nicked name Luka Bear because he loves to cuddle and have his belly rubbed while he falls asleep. Cocoa our first yorkie is the groomer of the bunch, loves to clean your ears and feet! no need to bath with him around LOL Shelby, our sweetheart has picked up all her brothers bad habits, sleeps with a baby, grooms Daddy's face, and loves her belly rubbed while she falls to sleep. I wouldnt know what I would do without all of them, bless their little hearts, thats my bunch. anne |

| First timer with a Yorkie I'm in love with my girl. I adopted her from a local shelter last week. She's 6 months old and seems to be potty trained, at least a bit. I'm working with her on eating, general commands, etc., but have a weird thing I need to ask about: When she roots to find a place to lay down, she kind of "head-butts" that area. Is this normal? Now, bear in mind I've had one dog before this (a Maltese, who passed away last year, sadly), so I'm not sure what this is. It's funny to watch, but I was just wondering. Thanks! |
