Weird/Funny Yorkie Habits I leave my bathroom door open when I'm in the shower to keep it from steaming up everything. Asher is always waiting by the door and pops in whenever he hears the water stop just so he can lick the water off my feet! And if I don't stick my foot out right away, he gets quite snippy with me. He also has recently begun collecting random items from around the house and piling them up (pretty neatly, too) in the middle of my living room :) What's a weird habit that your furbaby has?? |
Maxine naturally has her own pillow in bed. She will use her front paws to dig into it for a minute, and then go lay down 1 foot from it. You live in a great city. All residents must posses a firearm! I may have to move there! |
Ha! I don't own a firearm, and never would. But I do like living here, lol. Asher has a pillow in the corner of the room that he's probably slept on once. If he's not on my bed, he's asleep in a pile of dirty laundry in the corner. |
Thought that they passed alaw years ago stating all residents must own one. I am sure it was for show and to make a point with the anti gunners. Now, I have to mention Yorkies or I will be jumped on. I love Yorkies! |
When I get ready to take Jack for a walk, he will lay down by the front door until I get his harness on him. Then he will circle me three times before we go out the door. He is a silly one! |
Although Merlin has a ton of toys and there is always food out he hides some of his favourite chewing toys, bones or his dog food in corners and behind furniture. |
Whenever I come home I am greeted by Armani who hops on her bed and jumps up and down on it like it is a trampoline. I find this to be hilarious and adorable at the same time. |

Haha, Merlin likes to surprise you, I suppose. :) Asher doesn't hide his food, he flips the bowl over to dump it out and then carries the bowl over to his neatly stacked pile. He sleeps under/behind furniture. Quote:
:) At least Jack wants to go for a walk. I get Asher all leashed up and ready to go, and he decides that he wants to hop down the stairs and sunbathe in the parking lot of my complex, only getting up willingly for other pretty girls that walk by. Armani Alexis: That's a super cute name! Jumping on the bed... yeah. I'd die laughing if Asher did something like that. He does however go crazy when my bf comes in from work. Asher can stand on his hind legs like a toddler and wait to be petted. Then he takes off my bf's socks. He's so weird. |
Marchello meows like a cat when he gets sleepy. I guess it's his way of telling me to get in bed and tuck him in. |
Rusty hides all of his chew toys under our bed...he collects them I guess or doesnt want Stedman to get them haha! i started to wonder one day where all the toys went and saw him darting under the bed so I got down on the floor to check it out...he has quite a collection under there:rolleyes: He also wont eat out of the food bowl. He takes a three pieces of food in his mouth jumps on the sofa drops the food then eats it one piece at a time. If he gets distracted and forgets about the food he will not return to eat it later...he will go get three new pieces. When he hears another dog on TV his ears perk up (they are floppy) and he will tilt his head back and forth side to side trying to figure out where it is coming from:p |
Oh man, Levi has a lot of funny little quirks. He licks my face to wake me up in the morning to take him outside. He won't lay still and let me hold him during the day unless I let him lick my arms. He brings me his harness or his leash when he wants to go somewhere in the car. He absolutely HATES for his face to be wet, so anytime there is water on his face he rubs in on the couch, bed, blanket, floor...whatever is nearby. What a little monster. He makes me so happy with his funny little self. |
Neo is a micro-bead pillow freak! You ought to see him pounce and dig and burrow his nose in the various mb pillows we have lying around in the living room and bedroom. :D |
Skeeter went through a phase where he had to bring every stuffed toy in the house up on the couch to nap with. I counted once and he had 36 of them! That isn't half of it though. He would grab a toy (one at a time) climb up the stairs at one end of the couch, jump up on the left arm then up on the back of the couch where he would walk to the other end, jump down on the right arm and then onto the seat to deposit the stuffed toy. Then he would jump down on the floor and go get another toy. The whole process would start over again. Usually he just did it with his favorite four toys but like I said he did it with 36 that day. I can't even imagine how long it took him! He finally stopped doing that and now only grabs one to take up there. At night when he thinks I am going to bed he runs back and forth frantically looking for just the right toy to take to bed. It is usually one of 6 that I know of with two of them being his absolute favorites. If he thinks he left a toy on the bed he will get up on it and start looking all over and over the edges of the bed. I will take pity on him and go get one for him. He is so happy to see it! What a little nut! He makes us laugh every day - He is just so darned cute carrying that stuffed toy around. |
No matter how many beds there are in a room (and sometimes there see multiple ones) all 3 of my little guys cram on one bed together! This morning I found all 3 of them crammed on the crown bed...Paris was on her back with napoleon's head resting on her tummy (as moms don't we always let our kids sleep wherever they want...even if that means using us as pillows?) and louis was snuggled as close to her as he could possibly get...there was even room on the bed! Like how could that be comfy? But they would rather be together (or sleeping on top of me) than anywhere else! Quite cute! Have loved reading everyone's quirky Yorkie habits! So cool! |
Max sneaks into the restroom when I don't close the door tight then jumps up on my legs until I am done. No privacy...sheeesh |
