| What a disappointment! Andis Easy Clip Kit After going back and forth over getting a professional clipper or going middle of the road I let my cheap side take over and I purchased the ANDIS EASY CLIP KIT from Petedge. I had been using an old Wahl pet clipper that I purchased from Walmart to clip my cats and it barely works anymore. ANYWAY, I received the kit and on Saturday I got everything set up in the back yard and ready to go. I plugged that pretty little pink clipper in and was surprised that it didn't seem to have much UUMPH but I thought it might just be the difference in sound from the Wahl to the Andis. I grabbed up my gnarly looking persian and that's when it went bad. Don't know what was wrong with that brand new clipper set but it just wouldn't cut hair. I could hardly even make a good knick in his hair. I tried working with it, resetting the blade and any other trouble shooting I could think of but nothing worked. I finally gave up and went in for my old Wahl set because I was desperate to get some of the mats off that cat and I got half way through it before he had enough. SO now I have a cat that looks pretty odd but at least he is more comfortable and a clipper on it's way back to PETEDGE. Now I am trying to decide what to get to replace it. I am thinking of the Oster Golden A5 Single speed. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

| Glad to see that someone else is having that problem. I thought it was just me and I didn't know what I was doing. I can't even trim the top of Scoot's back, the clippers just do not cut. What a rip they are. I use an ancient set of Oster clippers and pray they don't ever stop running. If anyone can suggest a really good set of clippers that don't cost an arm and a leg I'd love to know the name.

| I just ordered the Oster Golden A5 2 speed from pet edge and they are giving a Oster Mini Max & Pro Cord/Cordless Trimmer free with the clipper. |

| I have the Oster A5 single and love it. It works great. Mine came with a #40 blade and I ordered a #10 at that time. I have since ordered an 7F when I wanted to shave Zhoie's back down for summer cut. Just want to caution to change blades, have clipper off, push the button, pull off the blade, put the new on the clip to hold....but DON'T snap it down unless you turn it on first. I must be running to snap down the new blade or you will break your clipper. Just an FYI, hope it helps...or you may already know this. lol

| The Oster Golden A5 is well worth the investment. I've had mine for 10 years. I got the two speed, but you don't need it. One speed would be just fine. |

| I have the Whal Arco Cordless that I have been pretty happy with. It is my first cordless, and all my others have been Osters. The battery lasts a long time, and I've never had any problem with it cutting. Since I've had it for several years, I am not up on many of the newer models, but I like how this one is small and fits nicely in my hand. So, basically for its size it does great. I should add, it is an actual animal clipper. I have never bought a clipper marketed for human hair to use on my dogs. I have seen those recommended here, but I have never bought one. (Shhhh, don't tell, but I have used hubby's trimmer on my dog's bums, and it did great).

| I have used this one for a couple of years now PetEdge: Andis AG Super 2-Speed Clipper I am a professional groomer, find this works well on cats too. I have a couple of client cats that have to be shaved once in a while. It will come with a 10 blade, you have to buy separate ones for different lengths. I love the Geib Buttercut blades. They are sometimes on sale. |
