After going back and forth over getting a professional clipper or going middle of the road I let my cheap side take over and I purchased the ANDIS EASY CLIP KIT from Petedge. I had been using an old Wahl pet clipper that I purchased from Walmart to clip my cats and it barely works anymore.
ANYWAY, I received the kit and on Saturday I got everything set up in the back yard and ready to go. I plugged that pretty little pink clipper in and was surprised that it didn't seem to have much UUMPH but I thought it might just be the difference in sound from the Wahl to the Andis. I grabbed up my gnarly looking persian and that's when it went bad.
Don't know what was wrong with that brand new clipper set but it just wouldn't cut hair. I could hardly even make a good knick in his hair. I tried working with it, resetting the blade and any other trouble shooting I could think of but nothing worked. I finally gave up and went in for my old Wahl set because I was desperate to get some of the mats off that cat and I got half way through it before he had enough.
SO now I have a cat that looks pretty odd but at least he is more comfortable and a clipper on it's way back to PETEDGE. Now I am trying to decide what to get to replace it. I am thinking of the Oster Golden A5 Single speed. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
