![]() I paid $700 for Tucker and his girlfriend that I am getting in November is $700 as well. I feel lucky to have found Tucker as he is the best puppy ever..He is 13 wks and weighs 1.9lbs. The breeder kept his sister and she weighs 3.5lbs at 13 wks.. They are all different and I do not think that any breeder can guarantee the weight of a dog. I mean I cannot guarantee that my children won't be overweight just because I am not. I love them no matter what. If you look through posts about sick Yorkies, you will notice that most of them are the tiny ones.. I think your new girl is beautiful and you should be proud to have her... Give her a chance and you and your other baby will fall in love..

![]() You were prepared for a smaller Yorkie and obviously, that is not going to be the case. So, you have to make a decision about whether you are gonna keep her or not. If you decide the answer is "yes", you will have a sweet and loving larger Yorkie. To me, her face looks like that of an older girl but it is a sweet and open face. I would talk with the breeder and let him/her know that you had been led to believe she was gonna be much smaller. Why do that? To let her/him know that you are aware that they were not totally honest with you.

| ![]() Awww, your yorkie is very cute! Sully was 3.2 pounds at 10.5 weeks when we adopted him....and he's almost 9 pounds now, definitely fully grown of course.

![]() I bought her in Illinois when I flew there for the summer. How old do you think she is? The lady said she was born Aug 18th. She posted an ad for her brothers on yahoo. She looks nothing like them. http://classifieds.yahoo.com/detail....0120424-835721

![]() I HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM --- But I found out the hard way that yorkies come in all different sizes. I got my first yorkie and she was only 6 pounds. Then I got a little boy who grew to be close to 11 pounds. I thought he wasn't a yorkie but found out they can be all different sizes - the best way to find out there size is looking at the parents - and even then it's not 100% accurate. Katie

![]() Looks like you've had an overwhelming response that the puppy is a Yorkie. One problem you may have with two females in the same household is that one of them may take on an alpha-female role. Between the two, my guess from the information you have given - it will probably be the smaller one which may cause problems down the road when you are attempting to break up a potential fight between the two. Doubling the size at approximately 10 -12 weeks, as others have suggested, is what I also find pretty accurate. I doubt that your new puppy will be a giant though. I hope that your smaller pup warms up soon to the idea of your new addition. Best of luck to you. The new puppy looks like a sweetie! She looks like she has a lot of love to give. Also, about the ad for her brothers.....I don't think they look like they came from different litters, they really do have many similar features. Again, best of luck. Tracy

![]() CKC. I am really sad you guys. The new puppy has really changed Brandy's attitude. Brandy growls and bites me too if I try to hold the new puppy at the same time. Brandy's attitude is different. She seems stressed and very jealous if I pick up the other one. I thought Brandy would be happy if I got her a playmate. I guess I was wrong. Brandy used to be more cuddly and only is if she's not around the other one.

![]() Well I don't know if this helps or not, but I was in Petsmart the other day with my family and this couple that had 2 yorkies stopped to admire Tucker. They told me that their older dog Benjamin was 5yrs old and they just recently got Franklin who was 11wks at the time. They got him at 6wks and they said that it took Benjamin about 3 wks to fully accept Franklin and start playing with him..I had asked them about this because both were boys and I thought that the older one would have been Alpha.. It turned out ok for them!! As for the weigh your puppy looks and her size, I am not trying to down CKC because I know that some people register them CKC because the fees aren't as high, but they do not have any requirements to register a dog other than that they are a dog. The picture of the father does not look like a purebred and dogs do not have to be purebred to be CKC registered. There is a great chance that she does have Silky in her or something else, but then again she could also be purebred since being large does not mean that she is not a Yorkie. I think she is precious and you should give her a chance to become friends with your other one...
