yeah i can.. dont have a choice, do i?? things happen and actually my BFF whose boxer may or may not be expecting is a doctor and her hubby is a CFO of a fortune 500 company, so money is not the issue at all..

please believe i am NOT happy about this "possible" situation, but i will do what is right and of course i would take great care of however many puppies come my way.. OF COURSE spaying and neutering all of them.. SMH....

You do have a choice actually, get the dog spayed.

Where there is a will there is a way. I've seen dogs with raging hormones get to a 2nd bank of crates and breed a female. Male Toy Poodle breed an Ole English Sheep hound. Boys only have one track minds when a girl is in Season. And not putting the blame solely on the boy....never under estimate the power of a female in Season. They've been known to entice a nuetered boy. That is why every precaution should be taken to prevent an unplanned breeding.

I am just glad your tiny little guy was not hurt in the process as I am imagining all the ways he could have hurt himself. Why doesn't your friend take her dog to the vet to find out for sure if she is pregnant so she can prepare for the possible puppies? If she is not pregnant, she may have something else medically going on to cause the reason your friend thinks she might actually be pregnant like an infection or something. Her vet could tell her for sure.

Agreed. This dog should be taken to the vet asap to see if she is pregnant or not. This would squash all worries asap.

Of course it's possible. There have been recorded cases of male yorkies breeding with Rottweilers.

There's no need to bash the OP here. This wasn't planned, and she had already made arrangements to neuter her male when this happened. If you have to point fingers and blame anyone, it should be the friend in this case- it was HER female in heat and she allowed them to be unsupervised together out in the yard.

If the boxer is pregnant, I hope the puppies are healthy and that they are adopted in to loving families who spay/neuter them asap.
