| for those of you with new babies! ..refresh my memory! lol I havent had a *new* baby since Daphne and she was our 1st..lol. Trixie we got her full-grown and so forth.. But what I wanna know is, how many times do you take your baby out at night? or do you? I know with daphne we did... but then it just kinda flaked away cause she loved being in the bed so much with us! lol And, if your little one isnt in the bed with you and is in a crate/pen, do you still take them out on scheldule? like every 2 hours or so like you do during the day? Im just trying to get a feel *again*, even though I should know htis..haha.. but just trying to get a feel and more info on it..hehe.

| My new puppy is 2 1/2 months old. I only had to take him out a couple times a night the first week. I too am a very light sleeper and have his crate on a nightstand by my bed....so if I heard him moving around or start to cry a little, I'd take him out. Now he goes all night without needing out. However, my day starts early so I am up around 5 am taking all the pups out. Cowboy seems smarter than my 4 1/2 month old pups who totally don't mind peeing in their crate at all. Have tons of fun with your new baby!! |

| Also, don't forget how puppies put everything in their mouths. Just when you think your floor is spotless, they will prove you wrong They need to pee very very frequently while playing when they are little. |

| Lilly is 10 weeks old and goes potty very freguently lol, she does not sleep with us but in her crate, she has her pee pads a few ft away from her crate and does very well going pee on them at night, we are still working on #2 lol, she is almost trained in that but I usually get up once or twice to change the pads and make sure that she is doing alright. |

| My youngest is 7 months old now but the first two months we had to take him out in the night. He sleeps with us so if he got up and started stirring and came and licked us to wake us up, we would take him out. He also peed in our bed at first because he couldn't get down. He started sleeping all night without having to go out at about four months. Beth Madison and Zach |

| Rowdy slept in his crate for the first few months and he would yip when he needed to go out - only once per night. We would go to bed about 11:00 and he would yip to go out at about 2-3am, and then I would get up at about 6:00am. He only needed to go out in the middle of the night for the first month or so, then he started sleeping through the night. He started sleeping with us when he was about 6 months old and he never needs to go out now.
