| The docking video was on the right hand side of the video of the long tailed yorkie. I have been upset about the procedure since I saw it days ago. What a terrible thing to do to a one/two day old pup. HATE IT. Cherie |

| My 4-month old yorkie Khloe has an undocked tail and I think it is beautiful. If it were up to me, docking would be illegal.

| I just want to say a quick thank you for starting this thread. My girl Krystal I knew has a docked tail-only about 2 inches long. when I got my two little boys I thought their tails were NOT docked. But after looking at the video and other pictures I realized that their tails are docked but at a nice longer length that makes them look like flags in a breeze. Absolutely cute with the longer tails. But I love it when Krystal wiggles her little one too. Maybe someday docking will change in the US. Till then love them as they are will be no problem.

| It IS illegal in the UK and many other countries, thankfully. Even when it was legal I booked my first yorkie pup before she was born to ensure the breeder left her tail alone. It's put there for a reason - communication. There is absolutely no good reason for docking a yorkie's tail and they look so much better with them on. Nothing beats seeing that little wagger going nineteen to the dozen when they greet you. Maybe the US will catch up one day, and outlaw this cruel practise.

| I agree, the tail is so expressive. We actually asked our vet at our first visit because we thought we had to get it done. Our vet wouldn't do it and said there was no reason to anyway. I'm glad they were honest!
