It IS illegal in the UK and many other countries, thankfully. Even when it was legal I booked my first yorkie pup before she was born to ensure the breeder left her tail alone. It's put there for a reason - communication. There is absolutely no good reason for docking a yorkie's tail and they look so much better with them on. Nothing beats seeing that little wagger going nineteen to the dozen when they greet you. Maybe the US will catch up one day, and outlaw this cruel practise.
