Ok I am really scared now. My family are big believers when it comes to that kind of stuff,,, but like I said before I really think there's answers for everthing. Ok again at my dads (before he married my mother in law,,,,, another big story in it's self) Yes my mother in law is also my step mother. Anyway, my dad had polio as a child and walks with a limp. And loses his balance quite a bit. Ok one night he said he hard someone walking down the hallway. He was home alone so he got up to see what it was. He got half way when he felt someone push him. He turned around to see that there was nobody there. So he kept walking and he got pushed again. This time he fell to his knees. So now, you can believe that someone really pushed him or you can believe his polio leg gave out on him like many times before and fell. I like to believe he just lost his balance this time. The one I don't have any answers for is,,,,,, My mother in law/stepmother was doing her bills at the kitchen table not too long ago, when the frig door just opened. She look over but there was nobody there. She thought it was my dad messing with her but he was fast asleep in bed with their 2 cats. HHuuumm I'm trying so hard to come up with a explanation for that one but havent come up with one as of yet. |

Good Lord, you've all scared the crap outta me. Why I chose to read this entire thread at 3 am in the dark is beyond me but I don't think I'll be sleeping too much tonight. My dog passed away 2 months ago and sometimes I think I hear her walking in the kitchen (we have tile, so her nails always clicked against it). When she was alive she did the occasional stare into space thing which freaked me out. But if we have a ghost, then it is a nice one because it hasn't bothered me. The only time I thought there was a ghost in this house was after we first moved in (I was 14) and I just got out of the shower and all of the sudden my radio turned off by itself. That scared the crap out of me because I was home alone so I snatched up my dog and hid in my room until my mom got home because I had such an uneasy feeling. I think my other house that I grew up in might have been haunted though. It was a lot older, but then again it could have just been my overactive imagination. I definitely think my neighbor's house was haunted though. Scary... |
Wow this is an intresting thread!! I totally believe that dogs can sense spirits!! I believe cats do too! My friends lives in a house where 2 people were shot and killed and there have been so many time while i'm over that those cats just go freakin nuts!! They also have a hallway light that goes on and off by itself!! Freaky!! There were also serveral nights when i stayed over there and i got like this uneasy feeling.. |
my mom says when i was young 4/5 i would point at the sky and say, "look mommy! angels!" i have seen my great grandfather (granddad littleboy) in my rearview mirror and standing on the corner of my street. (how he finds me i have no idea as he lived in margate, england) i have sensed my (step)grandmother and she spoke to me. i could smell her perfume... and when i had my son one of the nurses in the delivery room looked eerily like her and when my great grandmother (nanny littleboy) passed away, about 2 months later my Mimi (her daughter) found a piece of coal the size of a baseball in her back yard. mimi lives in panama city, fl and granddad littleboy worked in the coal mines....it was too big a piece of coal to have been dropped by a bird. my mom and i think it was their way of letting her know they were ok and together. but my favorite is whenever a door blows open unexplainably you say, "well hell-O mr Green!" my mom's side of the family does it. :) BOO! |
ghosts Charlotte's sister, Mini, also known as "I see dead people"..likes to scare us. She lives with my good friend Pati, down the street. Mini will be walking through a room, suddenly stop and go stare at the wall or chair..Pati has walked into a room and Mini is sitting with her head cocked listening to something..Pati thinks it is a ghost, I think it is termites! |
These stories are great! I am at work and it's noon and I am scared!! haha Well I have a few different stories to share too. My most recent one is with Porscha the other night she was laying on my bed which I rarely let her do and she sat up straight in the middle of the night barking at the doorway. I tried to get her to lay back down and she wouldn't budge she just kept barking and barking my boyfriend even yelled at her which always makes her stop and she wouldn't so I ended up putting her in her crate and she finally quit. It was weird b/c the apartment was silent and the cat was on the bed with us so I'm not sure what she heard out there! Another one is my parents dog Sam use to always stare at the wall or weird places in the house my mom swears he saw things, our house is over a hundred years old so I'm sure something cool had to have happened there! One last story, when I was in junior high I always use to go to my friend katie's house to stay the night. Well one night I woke up in the dead of the night and heard footsteps above us, well abouve us was her attic. So I of course think I am imagining things and try to go back to sleep and I hear it again so I look over and katie is wide awake staring up I was like you hear that don't you! She said she had heard it before, right then her cocker spaniel started barking in her parents room. It was all too weird I dunno but I know I heard someone walking above us, no one else in the house was up AND the dog heard something too!! Who knows! |

LOL! It does make things a little earier. But I still have my mother. Chirstmas Eve is spent here and my father, step/mother in law, and my husbands brothers and thier families come here and Christmas day we go to my moms. The rest of the hollidays we have it here. Who ever comes, comes. We love it when we get everyone here. But it's hard at times with my sisters growing and having thier own families. This year we have Cherish (which is my mom and stepfathers grandchild) so I'm hoping my mom, sister, new baby and my stepfather will be coming for Thanksgiving, I hope! |
