This tears me up. I know this has affected your entire family. It makes me sick to my stomach to hear about the trend of Yorkies being stolen. I'm not sure if this is good advice, but I had a friend in Atlanta who lost her French Bulldog. He didn't have any health conditions, but she was advised to offer a reward and also state that the dog was a diabetic and must have his meds daily. She got him back, but I don't know if it was because of this or not. My prayers are with you.

Yep, I made up several different flyers and sent them all over. I also had a company do it just in case I missed something. I made calls and talked to so many people. Responded to Craigslist ads. Can you believe a gentleman called me from Arizona because he found a Pom with New Bedford tags and he didn't know what to do being in Arizona. He must have gotten my name and number from a web-site or ad or something. Nice guy, actually deals with fostering dogs. Another woman called yesterday who found a male (in tact, so it wasn't Jonah) but she fosters too. Isn't it interesting how these dogs just happen to get picked up by fosters. I'm so very sorry about your Dachshund. My daughter and I try to imagine the dogs on an island having a great time (she's 7years old). It's a lot easier than when she's crying. It's just so hard to find them isn't it!?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I live in New Bedford, MA. Where do you live? It's been so long only God knows where they are but the mroe eyes the better - real nice of you. We actually have our postal carriers in on it too. You know, just made me realize how decent people can be when something goes wrong. Thank you

My husband was advised about putting they were sick on the flyers but I didn't want to lie and I thought it would be obvious but I did make up a flyer offering a $1000.00 reward and it didn't help. They were actually stolen the Friday before Mother's Day. I think I made a typing error with my original post. I think it was May 7th or the 9th. Whatever the date is two days before Mother's Day. I don't have a calendar handy.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thanks. Also, I tried the balloon thing and the weight of the flyer kept the balloon down so it didn't work.

| Wow... I have no idea how I missed this for long but I am fairly local to you rebeccag and am VERY familiar with Wignalls Animal hospital as they were my vet for a long time. If you need any help at all just let me know. I can look into any more calls you get from places in southern NH up to Manchester. Please PM me and I will do whatever I can to help! I'm so sorry for your loss. I think about this all too often when we are at work at my boys are home alone all day. If my boys were not home when I got home from work my heart and soul would be gone. My boyfriend actually saw a green durango drive up and down our road REAL slow last week almost like they were scoping the place out. He waited until they were in their car and then jumped in his to follow to make sure they were not casing other neighborhoods. He did not find them again. Still makes me nervous!

| How low does one go to steal someone's beloved pet? Desperate times...??? trying to make a buck I guess, but talk about just plain crappy. And these little Yorkies bond so deeply to their owner, that it's a double whammy for them to be stolen. Owners and the dogs are heartbroken! I think that's why people shouldn't bring potential customers of their puppies to their house to view the pups. Regardless of how well you phone interview them, some people are so good at deceiving, one sets themselves up to have their dogs stolen once word gets out where Yorkies live. Even if it isn't that person, they may mention to another,...then another...and eventually everyone knows "where the Yorkies" are. Not everyone can stay home all day to guard their dogs, gotta work to buy that dog food!!! I know I wouldn't let someone come to my house (a stranger anyway) -- isn't worth the risk. I don't care what someone says about needing to see where they were raised...times are not what they use to be. I wouldn't have one problem being asked to see a pup at someone's work place, where ever as I would understand their caution in bringing strangers to their home. Kendra |

| I understand your pain. We had our two Yorkies slip out the door, while we were taking out and old washer & dryer. We realized they were gone, very quickly, and went looking for them. In that short time, they were stolen just a house away from us. A lady that had been given our female, saw the flyers and called us, so we got her back. We found our male, dead three days later, in a grassy area. We had an idea who had him, and I gave them every opportunity to bring him back or take him to the place my daughter is manager of. Once they found out it was a felony, that is when we found the dog dead. It was meant to look like he was hit by a car, but the way that he was laying, plus no mark on him, we think they had him killed, and then just put him there. Be thankful you haven't had to find yours like that --- at least you still have the blessed hope of getting them back. I will add my prayers to yours and all the others, in the hope that you will get them back safe and sound. Give your little daughter a hug from me, and let her know how sorry we all are for what you are going through. |
