i got her from Maggiesmom_2007 (above) in Michigan. she was just too small to get itdone and it could have been harmful to her. i have always wanted a yorkie with a full tail!! Dexter came from Canada as far as i know. the people i got him from said that they visited the "breeder" but i really dont know if she was a broker or anything.

I have never herard that Canadian vets won't dock tails anymore and i see plenty of dogs with docked tails around Toronto, so not too sure if that is true or not? either way, i just love my tailed girl!

IT is only cosmetic so docking should not be done after puppies are a few days old.
I too wish the US standard allowed a full tail. I would never have another puppy's tail docked. For several years we have asked on adoption applications if they want the tail docked or long. Most people that are adopting, say long ! Perhaps we should all write the AKC and YTCA ?

My Khloe has a full tail and I love it. Only half of her litter survived, so they did not want to take a chance with docking their tails. I keep her tail hair long and I love getting to see her flag fly high. She is so expressive with it that I could not imagine her not having it!

At 6 months, it is far too late to dock anyways, so enjoy the full tail

Poppy's tail is long because it's illegal to dock now in the UK.
I keep the hair on her tail long and I love to see her wag her beautiful little tail

My little girl also has a full tail and i couldnt imagine her with out it!! i love it! when she knows she done something naughty and hides, she gives me the "i didnt do it honestly mum!" eyes but her wagging tail gives it all away!! i think full tailed yorkies are the best!!

They were born with full tails and should have full tails, the way God intended!

Both Lily and Logan have full tails as its illegal to dock tails in the UK and i love them. Once the groomer trimmed lily's tail and i was furious i love her tail long and wagging in the air

I've had the same reaction when I take Gia out "Omg, it has a tail!" -or - "Is she a mixed breed, since she has a tail?" I guess most people think they are born without them. ha!
