Differences between Biewer and Parti Yorkies?

What does the YTCA have to do with either the parti or the biewer? It should not even be listed as one of the links. This thread was entitled.."difference's between the Biewer and the parti" and has NOTHING what so ever to do with the YTCA.

Also, I personal don't have an objection with the YTCA link being there either. Both Partis and Biewers did originate from standard Yorkies, and they are the parent club, whether you agree with them or not. People just learning about these dogs may be interested to read ALL points of view, not just the ones we agree with.

The YTCA wants nothing to do with the Parti Yorkshire Terrier and states so on their website so I feel we should not add a link to them concerning the Partis or the Biewers

This is not true. The Parti does indeed have a standard that was recently accepted by the same venue that accepted the Biewer standard.
I also have a BIG problem with linking the YTCA in a post concerning the differences between the parti and the Biewer. What would be the purpose of this?

But is it really consistent?
In my personal experience and from what I have seen by the countless litters of online breeders...Biewer litters... for the most part...do not follow a consistent pattern. The Irish spotting gene is just one of the patterns associated with the piebald gene. It produces the dark color over the back and down the legs...especially the back legs...and sometimes the front.
And yes...this pattern can and does occur in Biewer's. But it does not consistently throw itself...even from parents that both carry those markings. Here is a great link that explains why. I bred two Biewers (one that I would consider nicely show marked and the other heavy Irish spotted marked)...and got a puppy that was just about all white on her body. Yes..they eventually produced a few puppies with markings like they carried themselves. But they produced more "whiter" puppies as well.

Of course you don't!

The YTCA is NOT the parent club of either dog and has NO relevance to this thread. How can they be the parent club to a variety they say doesn't exist?

I've listed your personal clubs, you can say anything you want on your websites and no one will argue with you. The YTCA is the breed club for the Yorkshire Terrier, and what they have to say is just as valid, if not more so, than individual breeders. After all, they do set the standard, and protect the breed, and a person should at least be informed of their viewpoint on the parti color. That was always the problem with the threads; no one ever wanted both sides of the argument. Let people decide for themselves, but after they understand both sides of the issue.

The YTCA sets the standard for the breed and cannot be excluded from information on parti Yorkies. The links are being collected so they can be pinned for educational purposes. All relevant information must be included.

Ah, I didn't even think about the fact that they would have to have one recognized by those venues now that they are being shown there. I guess it would have been more accurate to say that neither Partis nor Biewers have a standard recognized by the AKC, since that seems to be the preferred registry for most.

And once again..what does this have to do with the topic of this thread? The YTCA claims the parti doesn't exist. That is no big secret on this board. Why do some here feel the need to ruin every thread concerning the parti? .

If the YTCA link is allowed to remain..then I vote we also link to Poodle Club of America? They hate parti's too!!

But the op's post didn't ask for the YTCA's view. What revelance does the YTCA's view on the parti have to do with the "differences between the parti and the Biewer"? It is not a parent club to neither breed and has no place in a sticky that is "supposedly" placed to help those who will one day ask the very same question the OP asked today. I can find a few link's against the YTCA...can we post those too? No...because they would have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Ugh, probably! I think it's a good idea to have a short, informative sticky with information from ALL viewpoints of the story since so many come here asking the question. (Not just this OP, but for everyone.) But alas, I forgot there were only a select few allowed to have an OPINION on the matter.
