| Unfortunately I had to experience my Granddog being attacked by a Black Lab (love labs btw, but this one was either nasty or really scared) to appreciate just how horrible it can be. Fortunately I had a venti black tea lemonade in my hand and managed to throw it in the lab's face and distract him long enough for my daughter to grab Sass and run in her house (leaving me outside with the lab ). I'm praying that Mimi makes a full recovery.

| I hope they're both going to be ok. The fear will probably be with them for a long time. I had a scare yesterday with Reesie and if Cindy hadn't been there as her military escort I think I'd be grieving a loss right now. Reesie broke away after seeing another dog out for a walk. She just jerked the leash right out of my hand. She ran after a young Pit, but Cindy being a fearless Border Collie was right after Reesie showing the Pit she had teeth too, and the Pit's owner picked him up quickly so there wouldn't be a fight. Close, very close. |

| Just saw this post and am horrified that it happened at all and so glad that both little ones are recovering although I am not sure how either will ever not be afraid of a big dog again although dogs are resilient! How great for the owner of the dalmation to do the right thing! And so great that he took a rescue in at all! At least he did what he could! Will continue to pray for both dogs recovery and for your friend after such a scary ordeal! Angels watch over dogs too! I'm convinced after this story! Have a good night! :-) |

| I'm so happy to hear they are recovering. I am fearful every time I walk my girls, had a near miss just last week with a dog large enough to get me and both my dogs at once. That was terrifying enough, I can't imagine how she feels.
