I hope they're both going to be ok. The fear will probably be with them for a long time.
I had a scare yesterday with Reesie and if Cindy hadn't been there as her military escort I think I'd be grieving a loss right now. Reesie broke away after seeing another dog out for a walk. She just jerked the leash right out of my hand. She ran after a young Pit, but Cindy being a fearless Border Collie was right after Reesie showing the Pit she had teeth too, and the Pit's owner picked him up quickly so there wouldn't be a fight. Close, very close. |
