Anyone can open a PayPal account, I think you should be aware that a member here has been giving breeding advice and is only 11 years old. I think we shouldn't make it that easy for people to get money. Why would giving the money to kidnappers ensure the dog's safe return? Don't forget, kidnappers are crooks. She should work with the police.

Honestly, if someone took one of my dogs from my yard, I would tend to say, they were stolen, taken, or something like that.... but the word kidnapped is a special word that automatically infers that they are being held for ransom. Hummm. Then the OP confirms, ransom, and needs money. I hope with all my heart that this is not a ploy to take advantage of caring YT members here, but if it is, it will not be the first, nor will it be the last. And if kidnappers get away with it once, believe me they will do the same thing again, cause they will see what easy money it is.

No, my point is that it's very easy to mislead people on the internet, and people are not always what they appear to be. Dog forums are easy targets, because they are filled with loving, thoughtful, generous people, who seem to think everyone is as honest as they are. I'm not saying that the poster is not telling the truth, but until we have some sort of proof, I'd keep my money in my pocket. I also don't believe working with kidnappers, why would they give the dog back? You work with the police, so that you can help stop this from happening to anyone else, and you have a much better chance of getting your dog back too.

If she went to the house the first time, she should file a police report. The officers will take action if she guides them to the house.

I'm very familiar with Long Beach, living in Huntington Beach most of my adult life. There are parts of Long Beach that are very undesireable, places you wouldn't enter at night. I for one wouldn't ever allow my dog in the front yard in this city.

I have been trying to get in touch with the right agency in Long Beach. Being I am in SC I haven't had much luck. Stand by, I am contacting someone that might help. Please lets verify this, it is too important.

This is true of internet scammers too. It's an easy way to make a living. Some people know how to touch peoples hearts.

There are many caring generous members on YT like you, and I hope to say I am one of them. I gladly give to many causes, but do like to verify them first. But, I also hate to see people be taken advantage of. Giving is one thing, being taken is quite another.

I do hope the OP is sincere, and IF her dog is indeed missing that it will be returned soon.

i dont think this owner is a scammer; i think she gave the dog too much freedom and access for him to get lost or get taken away.
please call the local animal rescue or animal police; place fliers out there; anything you can do to get those people to return the dog.
when you get him back don't forget to chip him asap

Unfortunatly I could get NO information from Long Beach dispatch. Since this has occured online, they suggest we search online internet fraud, I don't know how this helps.

I hope Benjamin returns soon! I don't think she's lying. She has a pic of her in YT profile and even a picture of her daughter and benjamin. If she was really a scam, she wouldn't post pictures like that. They may be phoney pictures, but I really don't think so. It's not like she signed up today and said her baby got kidnapped. She's been a member for a while. That's my opinion.

Christinee, when you get Benjamin back.. please take more care since playing in the front yard is a bad idea. Perhaps put him in your room with all his toys, food and water until you come back from school?
