To me that is why you use a REPUTABLE breeder and stay away from backyard breeders.
Doing your homework pays off if you want a full breed with good genetics. If it doesn't matter to you then a female silky bred to a male yorkie won't make much difference.
I don't mean to sound harsh. I just know for some pedigree is important. others just fall in love with that cute little puppy face and I think both are ok.

I personally like to search out breeder who breed for show and pet. But again thats just my preference.
