| People see our cutie little dogs and just have to assume something so cute can only be female. When we first got Diji my mom called him a her for weeks... haha. |

| I get that all the time with Charlee! She is a girl but everyone thinks that she is a male. I have her in a puppy cut and no top knot but she still looks like a girl! |

| That happens to Yogi a lot. He's got so much hair and the top knot probably doesn't help. But he's very good natured and doesn't like to make anyone feel bad so he just goes along with, "Oh she's so pretty. Look at all her beautiful hair." and let's them fawn all over him. ![]()

| Yeah, Teresa, that's almost always what I do. Especially if it is just a passing situation. I just nod, smile and say thanks. My mom babysits two little four year old girls and from the time they were born, they were around my little poodle, Zach (a male). So they have a very hard time not calling Chloe a "he" just because they are associating her with the previous dog they knew. I never correct them either. ![]() I have to admit though, I'm bad about mixing gender sometimes too. There's a Westie in the duplex behind ours and I know it is a she but I continue to refer to it as a he. Partially this is because the dog is old and very scruffy/manly looking. It's also because I tend to say things like "She (Chloe) didn't bark at him (Westie) today." Or something similar. If I say "She didn't bark at her" it sounds confusing! -C

| People assume Louis' a girl, even when I tell them "his name is LOUIS." Just because he has long hair and he wears bows, that doesn't make him a girl! LOL
