All Yorkies are not lap snugglers. How about yours?

Chloe likes to lay on me wherever I am, even when it cant possibly be comfortable.

Armani on the other hand only likes to snuggle at night when we are in bed, otherwise he prefers to go lay somewhere where he can keep his eye on me but isnt right on top of me,

Cricket tries to like it for the few seconds he is on the lap, but then something comes over him and he runs for a toy so he can play keep away with you! He has to much to do!

I have a male yorkie that is almost 2. Dex does the same thing as Bella sometimes he will sleep between my feet at night. One move however and he is gone lol. He used to not want to be on any lap and I got him shaved and now he will get on my lap several times a day.

Roxie is half and half. She loves the lap and will sleep on us for hours at a time, but sometimes she just wants her alone time and will seclude herself in her bed in her playpen (her "house").

Samy demanded to be in my lap since first week we got him (3.5 months). When he is sleepy, he looks so desperate to get on the couch and if my hands are anywhere near my lap he would push them and place himself comfortably. If I walk around the house he would wait for me until I sit somewhere and again want to get up on my lap. If my husband and I are both on the couch he would rotate between us but mostly would sleep next to me, either on my lap or on the pillow behind my back - half laying on my shoulders, half on the pillow... he is a nice neck warmer

maddie is my shadow, has been since i brought her home--sleeps with me, and snuggles next to me or on me on the couch--but hes gotta have her blanket to cover up with. if i get up, she gets up.

Wrigley is part dog, part cat & part human toddler!
She wants to be in a lap 24/7! When you are standing she weaves in and out of your legs like a cat! When you are standing cooking she sits and leans herself against your legs like a toddler holding onto their Mom!
Camden is a little more independent! She does like to lay next to you or even on your legs, but not usually your lap!
Crosley (who is almost 18lbs) lays on the floor or ottoman next to you, except in the winter and then she wants to sit in your lap as well! Which gets mighty heavy after awhile!

Trixie is just a puppy, but follows us everywhere, especially me! She is like my little shadow. She is a definite snuggler, but loves to play with her many, many, many toys!! She is very busy! But, she will rest and sleep on my lap or neck and loves to snuggle in bed in the morning when she comes out of her crate. I love it!!!

Hot Rod is definitely my lap dog. As soon as I sit down anywhere, there he is. I think that Maggie would like to be a lap dog and will fall asleep in my lap every now and then, but as soon as Hot Rod jumps up, she's outta there. He is the alpha and will let her know it.

I've had Buddy less than a week and, so far, he is a real lap dog which is exactly what I was looking for. He is a year old and the breeder old me that he loves her lap but she has so many other babies that she can't hold him all of the time. I am glad to see that he got off my lap for a little while yesterday to play..................Pat

I'm blessed w/2 yorkies, who's differences don't start w/their gender...It's the color, temperament, size, level of activity, type of hair, energy level & differences in the cuddle aspect...Won't bore you w/all the details, but my male is a lap dog/snuggler/affectionate and my girl is fiesty, adoring, wants to be w/me all the time, but not crazy about cuddles...They both sleep w/me, and Apple (the girl) sleeps about 6 " from my pillow, and Buzz, sleeps as close as his little body can get to me...It's a totally perfect family

Chloe has become more and more of a lap dog as she's gotten older. She just hit the year mark and 9 times out of 10, if I'm sitting down she wants in my lap. I've taught her that I won't pick her up when she's loud so now she sits politely and sort of makes this chirrupping or trilling sound at me. If I ignore her for long enough she'll jump up and down until I look at her and then she sits again. She'd sleep for hours in my lap if I'd let her! As the weather has gotten warmer, I've noticed that she doesn't spend as long in my lap though.

She also likes to get in my husband's lap as soon as he's done eating supper at night, but this is so she can lick his ears and nose! She rarely sleeps in his lap. Oddly enough, Chloe doesn't really like to be pet/stroked while she's in my lap. My previous dog, a toy poodle, wouldn't only sit in your lap so long as your were petting him. Chloe will almost always want down if you pet her for too long. However, she loves to be brushed and the poodle hated it. Weird....

I wouldn't call Jackson a snuggler. He has his moments... it's usually in the mornings when we wake up, he will rub up against me all close and we have some snuggle time, and then when on the couch watching tv, sometimes he gets up there with me and curls up and rests his head on my arm while he sleeps. But most of the time you can find him in a dog bed.
