All Yorkies are not lap snugglers. How about yours? Bella is a sweetheart and definitely loves to be around us but she is not a real lap snuggler. She jumps up in our laps and licks and plays and then she is off again on another adventure. Then when she crashes she usually ends up in one of the crates or one of the beds that are scattered around the house. This may be because she is low man on the totum pole and has to find a spot amongst the chihuahua's but I was wondering how many on here have total snugglers and how many like to snooze alone? |
Both of mine are sitting in my lap while I'm typing :D Bella is a very independent young lady, consider yourself lucky :thumbup: |
Ah! I forgot how old she is, so I had to go look.:D She's just a baby. Just have to wait until she is older. Mine was the same way as a puppy, but now she loves the lap. Oh! Kacee loves to snuggle, but when she gets hot she heads under the bed! |
I also have an independent one. Rocco's snuggly for a few minutes when he's tired or first wakes up. Other than that, he is content to carry on like a "big" dog and lay on the floor, sleep in his crate, and keep himself busy. He loves us to pieces, but when he sits on your lap it's only for a minute to chew a toy or drop one off for you to throw! But I am happy that he's content and not clingy, and he also hardly ever barks. And I DO get plenty of wet puppy kisses :) |
I have 2 that want to be lap snugglers but are just not trusting enough yet. They come up for quick visits but get back down fairly quickly. So we work with them. Peek gets comatose in my lap and will sleep for hours. Fin prefers men's laps to mine. :D |

I have one of each, Copper likes to know where I am at all times and get love when he wants it then he is off on his own. Maddie never ever leaves my lap or arms. |
both of mine are lap dogs, although one more than the other. sometimes its a good thing and sometimes it drives me nuts when I am trying to work. I work from home so I am on the computer a lot and both often try to sit in my lap, which makes it difficut to type. |

My husband said it best a few minutes ago, "it's all momma's fault. Jack's a momma's boy." :eek: Oh yes, I have him so spoiled. He is constantly on one of us - if I'm at work, he'll lay on my husband. As soon as I get home from work though, he's all about mom. I love it though - wouldn't want it any other way. :D |

Jax is a real snuggler in the morning right after getting outta bed. When it is time to watch some morning tv and lounge in pjs he is right there on your lap sleeping. After that though it is only on occasion that he wants to snuggle. He was snuggling me earlier today while I was browsing YT and I loved it :D |
