| whose baby is she/he? so, my pup isn't a yorkie as i'm still searching for a yorkie - she's a fox terrier. anyhow, i got a puppy because my kids have been bugging me to death wanting a pup. i never gave in because i didn't have the time, but now i do - so we have been blessed with "Cupcake" - named by my 5 and 3 year old. it was between cupcake and cricket - i liked cricket, but they won! i digress... i got the pup for my kids! BUT she is so MY baby! she follows me everywhere, sleeps with me, etc. my 3 year old says, "how come cupcake loves only you?" it's so sad! i've tried to get her to lay down with my kids at night, but she won't do it! the minute i leave the room, she comes running. my husband SHOCKINGLY has even tried to get her to go to bed with him - she'll lie down for a minute (only cus she thinks i'm going to bed too) and as soon as i walk away - here she comes! i think it's funny that she loves me more than hubby, but feel kind of guilty about the kids! so, whose baby is your pup/dog? yours? your child(ren)? husband/wife? |

| any dog I have ever had.. have been 'mama's dogs'. I always assumed it was because I was the one that fed them! Thomas is a bit different. He is sort of independent. No special place to sleep..floor..chair..bed..doesnt care. Not very loving either.. But he does get excited when my hubby leaves..because he thinks he is gonna get to go. so I guess he is a 'daddy's dog' |

| It really depends. My husband is home with Morgan all day because he works from home, but she still loves her Mommy time when I come home from work at night and on the weekends.

| It always ends up like though. Parents get dogs for their kids, and it ends up being the parents dog. It's kind of inevitable because obviously the parent is typically gonna feed the dog, take the dog to the vet, give the dog attention when kids aren't home, etc. We had 2 dogs growing up that were "mine" but they clearly were my dads.

| Normally, IMO, it's the caretaker that the doggies attach themselves to. Hasn't been true, though, for our dd's rescue Pommie. That girl has known from day one that Meg was her mommy. I've had Moxy for over a year with Meg dropping in for visits every so often. Moxy doesn't leave Meg's side the entire time she is home. Moxy is going to love it when her mommy finally graduates from pharmacy school and has her own place that allows pets.

| Kaji is mommy's little boy. He's finally accepting other humans and greets my parents at the door, but if you want to see excitement and happiness wait till I walk through the door. I love coming home to someone that is genuinely happy to see me.

| Twinkie is definitely mommies girl. I am home all day and we have bonded like no other dog I have ever had. She loves my hubby and my sons, but nobody can take the place of her mom. I think I love the attention more than she does. She makes me feel special. I love her so much! |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Funny you should post this because I have been teasing DH that the darling pup we got for ME has turned into HIS dog! I think it's because Dad gets to do all fun things with Tuffy while I get the wonderful job of being chief brushing, bathing & ear hair puller . Not to mention butt wiper...Don't get me wrong, he loves me too & I don't even want to imagine life without him now. AND it gave me the perfect opportunity to "suggest" that someday we get another to which my husband happily replied "of course!" teeheehee

| Gypsy is def my baby. Hubby purposely stayed a little aloof from her when we first got her so she would bond with me. The complete opposite is true with our chi. She is def hubby's baby. I say Gypsy is mine, Puff is his and Sophie is ours.
