| Thor's Human Donating Member | Just FYI, Thor has wee'd on my floors before. I have Nature's Miracle in the spray bottle. I just wipe up the urine, and then spray the spot. I've never had any trouble with odor or staining. Again, my floors are the super-laminated hardwood from the 1920s.

i personally use spray and wash (the kind for laundry stains) just because i love it and it's magic - lol. i'm sure it can't HURT to use some sort of scent masking spray, but that's what i was told. | |

				   | We chose brazlian cherry wood and had 3 coats of commercial grade polyurethane applied. It has been 15 months and no scratch's from the furbutts, although, they did pee pee all over them with no ill effects.

				   | We have 6 inch hand-scraped solid maple floors and cannot see any doggy scratches on them but the cat scratches are bad. The cat loves to play chase and digs his nails in the floor going around the corners. ![]() We also have them in the kitchen area so there are also many marks from dropped cans, cups, knives..... from the kids. After only 2 1/2 years they are pretty beat up. We would like to remove the hardwood in there and put in tile. |

				   | My parents have very high quality laminate floors that look exactly like wood and Linus doesn't scratch them up at all. He's 4 1/2 lbs right now. They really love the laminate floors because they're so durable!! |

				   | My dog is 9 pounds, and we have never had any scratches from him on the hard wood floors. He even runs and slides across the floor when he's excited. |

| Yorkie Yakker | We have wood flooring and have 3 Yorkies ( 1 who weights 9lbs ) and i have had no problems with the floor at all. My 3 babies run around non stop an play like crazy. I do belive it does depend on what kind of wood you use. Ours is maple which from my understanding is a very durable wood. When you go to a flooring place let them know this concern and they should show you woods that are hard not soft, you should have no problem. |

				   | Ditto on the Bruce Hardwood flooring- we've had it for over 15 years and there are NO scratches anywhere on our floors. Great product as far as I'm concerned

				   | I've been researching on hardwood vs laminate vs engineered and discovered that they have vinyl planks that look like wood. From everything that I have read, none of the wood products would tolerate being peed on, so I am considering the vinyl planks. I am sure if looked at closely, it will not fool anyone, but is still better than linoleum that looks like wood. |
