| Angry So I found this ad Adorable AKC Yorkie Terrier only 2lbs! Full Grown! | Anderson | Kijiji | 2268461 and then I found this ad Wanted: Female AKC Yorkie | Folsom | Kijiji | 2538186 IT IS THE SAME DOG. The person that adopted the dog is using it as a stud ALREADY to get another dog. Why would someone do this!?!? You just BARELY had the dog for less than ONE MONTH. My bf says it's none of my business, but I can't help but feel that the person might get a female as pick of litter and use her for future profits. I don't know, I might be thinking too much. I seem to have lost all hope for humanity after this: I just saw a pug this past weekend, a dog found as a stray being fostered by this lady. She took her pugs to the dog park. The pug's nipples were drooping down and she was really skinny. I never saw such a skinny pug before. She told me she was most likely from the puppy mill and used to breed because when they found her, her uterus was hanging out. In addition, she is going blind because she was left untreated for too long with some eye problem. Oh, and she is ONLY 3! This pug's life story crushed my heart! Sorry if this post is ridiculous and outrageous. I am just expressing my thoughts and current emotions. I am not in the best mood...sorry!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I don't like kijiji because they don't allow you to report unethical ads, I think sometimes when we link kijiji ads here, the site just gets more hits. I wish everyone here would boycott kijiji. I agree with you, but I think your mood will be improved if you stay off kijiji!

| I agree Nancy, we should have a boycott list of sites to avoid, kinda like we do for Breeders.. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I wonder if we could make a list of places and rate them like they do dog food? I mean if a place doesn't allow you to flag ads it could be filled with scams, and there are so many breeders who are posing as legitmate rescues, and these places are filled with those types of ads.

It's exciting to hear you say that, I am working on launching a site that does just that! It will be at the domain: "Thebreederlist.com". I actually got the idea from this forum, because you are all so good about warning people about what breeders to avoid. Hopefully I will have a beta version launched this weekend. I am going to post another thread for people to list the kennels/names of people by state that they think are not reputable so I can get some info for the new site. I will keep you all posted!

| Looking at both links and pictures, those are not the same dog. same age but not the same Yorkie. kijiji! has your good and your bad like with any place. There are a lot of shelter and rescue dogs on there plus Just dogs needing good homes. But yes you also have the bad breeders on there too. |

There are a few other sites that I always try to discourage people from even looking at the pets that are advertised. It's just too hard to wade through all the trash to even find any good on some of these sites. Why make it more confusing trying to pick a good pet by adding placed like the above mentions site that you have to use caution purchasing from. Another horrible place is Hoobly.com, the first time that I looked there I cried

YT members have a great influence on the way that members purchase their pets and I believe this should be reflected in an overall voice of the members. There have been plenty of people that have come here only to learn that x,y,z are all things to steer clear and they purchase their next pet after learning of the red flags to look for. How many times have members been applauded about a puppy/dog being sold under less than desirable circumstances.
