| Wise statement Sad but true! Sometimes it takes a puppy to show you the true character of a person.

| YT Addict | I understand. When my boyfriend brought home a doberman pup I was a little jealous. We also had very different ideas of raising dogs, he wanted her in the bed, I wanted her out. He let her on the couches, which drove me nuts. Even though I felt "second best", I talked to him about it and it was never his intention. We worked together raising her, and in the end we comprimised on a lot of things. However, him not feeding or giving her water is a huge warning flag for me.

| I agree with most of the posts here. I too have a bf who wants nothing to do with Saphira as he is not a dog person (which I knew before getting her but that didn't stop me ) and he is extremely jealous. Yorkies require a lot of attention and care especially when they are babies, not to mention how deeply in love you fall with them and how crazy you get with a new baby . Because my bf is so tolerant of all my talking, cuddling, grooming, playing, feeding, bragging, and the list goes on I remember that I am the one in love with her and I am the one that's crazy about her it doesn't mean that he is. I just make sure that while I am cuddling with her on one side of me I have him cuddling on the other. Things should even out soon and you can live happily ever after or it may get more hostile and resentful and then maybe it wasn't meant to be in the first place. If your relationship can't withstand a little bundle of joy then that says a lot about the strength of the relationship. As for the dog sitting at night, I know for me it is a lot safer and better for the puppy to just get someone else to do it ![]() Congratulations on your new girlie...enjoy!!

| Being jealous over a dog to me is crazy, I could not would not be with someone who does not love my babies like I do. putting her in a crate will not learn her any thing. not giving her food or water is just crazy. they are just like kids and we need to speak up for them. she is young and with no food/ water she can become sick quick. I would sit him down and have a long talk with him. |

| I agree.....that's exactly what my step-mom told me. What's amazing to me is that I'm actually willing to choose my baby bella over him if it doesnt get better. I'm giving him attention too, alot more now after reading these posts, but i feel like i'[m walking on eggshells now around my baby Bella. He hates it when i talk baby talk to her and he says putting and buying clothes on her is getting old and ridulous. grrrr! I am a first time yorkie mom and i'm LOVING it...i truly feel like she's my baby. I think i might be single soon..lol. Sad. |

| Of course I hope things work out, but you know your answer already (in case you've got to choose in between), Best of luck!

| Hey Sweetie...!!! Did you discuss getting the pup with your BF before getting her?? (sorry if already mentioned) When we got Snick, I made sure my husband was ok with it and ON BOARD-meaning we would be a team to care for Snickers. THIS WAS HUGE!! I could not do it alone and my babe assured me he would come home at lunch and care for SNick. There was a few times my babe told me I spent more time on Snick than him but he never treated Snick badly and has always loved Snick with all his heart. Snick's his lil baby. I did have to distribute my time with my boys, but my babe was always with me to help with Snick and love him. Now I can't separate the 2. Lollll. I hope things get better...the no food and water and getting angry when loving on Bella makes me nervous. It sounds a lil cruel on his part in my opinion!! Also you mentioning picking Bella over your BF if it comes down to it SAYS ALOT!!! Almost like you're choosing already .Good luck hun! Snick & Viv
