I agree with most of the posts here. I too have a bf who wants nothing to do with Saphira as he is not a dog person (which I knew before getting her but that didn't stop me) and he is extremely jealous. Yorkies require a lot of attention and care especially when they are babies, not to mention how deeply in love you fall with them and how crazy you get with a new baby. Because my bf is so tolerant of all my talking, cuddling, grooming, playing, feeding, bragging, and the list goes on I remember that I am the one in love with her and I am the one that's crazy about her it doesn't mean that he is. I just make sure that while I am cuddling with her on one side of me I have him cuddling on the other. Things should even out soon and you can live happily ever after or it may get more hostile and resentful and then maybe it wasn't meant to be in the first place. If your relationship can't withstand a little bundle of joy then that says a lot about the strength of the relationship.
As for the dog sitting at night, I know for me it is a lot safer and better for the puppy to just get someone else to do it

Congratulations on your new girlie...enjoy!!
