Rocco is not Yoshi I was disappointed to have to give Mary the news that Rocco is indeed not her missing Yoshi. I share everyone thoughts and hopes that she does find her beloved Yoshi someday...somehow:hearts-xx:hearts-xx Loree- Foster mommy to Rocco:animal37 |
Rizzo's Mom, if you read on you will see that Amanda had apologized. She was very nice, and it was just an emotional time for her as she had clearly been with Mary since when it happened. I can understand how she got emotionally involved, and she apologized for what she said. :) That being said... Mary, I am so sorry that it wasnt him. Don't give up completely though. He is always in your heart, and you never know, stranger things have happened. I just hope and pray that if somebody has him, that they are being very kind to him and treating him well, if nothing else... and at the best, I hope they suddenly have a stike of conscience and that they return your baby to you. My heart goes out to you. I cant read this thread without crying everyday. |

All I know, is that you and Yoshi have so many determined, passionate people on your side, that my hopes will remain high until that one day comes, when it is Yoshi in the picture! Stay strong! |

I live in South Africa and I have lost a dog before but was lucky enough to find him a week or so later and it nearly killed me. My little yorkie has been lost twice this last week and luckily she too has returned home safely thanks to people's kindness and honesty. So I can only begin to imagine your pain and heartache and desperation to find him. It's always good to have hope. Friends of ours lost their maltese Cross in a house robbery and found her a year later a few miles from their house living in the bush in a small nature reserve, so I do believe you should always hold Yoshi in your heart and pray for his safe return and maybe one day your paths will cross again. Your emotions have been running high the past few days and I also suffer with migraines and I know as soon as I am emotional they seem to hit me. I have been to a GP, Physio, Chiropractor, homeopath, neurosurgeon, tested my eyes&my teeth and had an MRI and none of them can tell me why I get them. So i feel your pain. I take what they call a "Migraine Pack" or cocktail of pain killers that make me sleep like im dead- so do yourself a favour and see if you can get something to make you sleep, turn off the lights and noise and have a rest. The rest of us continue to pray for you and Yoshi - and a lot of respect to Rocco's mom for doing all she has done for you and for Rocco as a rescue Mom. |

Also, when purchasing a chip for your pet, be aware that some companies charge a yearly fee ($15-$50), and some charge a lifetime fee ($15-$100) and some offer discounts for multiple animals. Some also will let you list all your pets' chips on their site, even if from different manufacturers. All mine, of course, are different, and from the more expensive providers. I'm considering rechipping all of them from one place and making it for their lifetime. They can't tell when the chip was implanted, only when it was registered by the owner, but that should track back to the owner, and when they registered it they ask for your vet info, and can get the date of implant from the pet's record at the vet's. PS: I do everything they tell you not to do for a migraine: eat chocolate, if that doesn't work I ingest coffee or soda pop with caffeine. Last week the chocolate worked wonders! |

So if it picked up a chip # and it wasn't Mary's will it be able to tell whose dog this is? I'm very sorry it wasn't Yoshi, Mary. :cry8: |

Rocco Micro Chip Update-New News! I wanted to expand on this micro-ship issue for Rocco. I did have the Vet’s office like I said go over him from top to bottom to find any and all microchips that could have traveled or been duplicated etc. They just don’t match Yoshi.:( Ironically the day that I had his visit I returned home and got a call from the original phone number associated with Rocco’s microchip. They had found a phone number and Rocco’s DOB listed in their archives and it went to a pet store about 30 miles from me. I called the pet store and apparently they only keep puppy numbers listed for 5 years and Rocco is 5.5 yrs. Old (not 3.5 as we thought) so they have no record because the owner never registered him.:thumbdown So he will still go to ytnr for adoption. A side point to this thread since Mary was talking about Migraine headaches I had to share this. This whole last week I had a migraine for a whole week while dealing with this dog issue and I was miserable. Every morning I woke up with a pounding headache I wanted to pull the covers over my head and go back to bed! A friend gave me a sample of a holographic “chip” for pain. She told me to peel it off (about the size of a dime) and place it on my upper neck. I was in so much pain I would have done anything at that point. Well within one half hour the headache subsided greatly it was just faintly there. I went to bed with those “chips” for pain and one for rest/sleep and I was out like a light for 10 hrs. My husband said he has never seen me sleep so sound. Next morning Migraine gone and has been since Tuesday GONE…GONE…these things are a miracle!! You can use these on Pets also. Rocco is getting neutering this Weds. So I am going to use a pain ”chip” on him to keep him discomfort at a minimum.:animal36 Foster Mommy to Rocco:animal37 |
Wow, where do you get these "chips"? are they Rx? Quote:
