| we went through this too and it IS heartbreaking. the prognosis these days are so much better than they it used to be. (that's the good news) our little one made it through and now resides in Florida and lounges on the beach quite often. i pray the surgery goes well for your little one as well. |

| i had a few questions before and after surgery. 1. what's the possibility of reoccurance? 2. what's the success rate of this surgery? 3. what will my dog's demeanor be upon taking him/her home? 4. how long before i can expect a visible change in my dog's physical health? 5. what are some things i should look for should there be an emergency after surgery? 6. what types of behavior should not alarm me? 7. how much should i expect my dog to eat, drink and sleep? 8. how much physical activity can allow my dog to have? 9. can i expect a follow-up phone call from you? 10. when shall i bring him back for a check-up? do i take him to the surgeon or my regular vet? i know...i'm a tuff customer but i needed some peace of mind. i hope these help some. |

| Matise is still doing well with the meds and l/d food. We are having a quiet nite at home preparing for the consult and possible surgery tomorrow. If all goes well in the consult then we will be leaving Matise there for surgery. Keep us in your thoughts. I will update you all tomorrow. Thanks again. P.S. FC-thanks for the question suggestions-I will be asking them tomorrow.

| Kara, Call me after the consult if they are leaving him for surgery. Cookie's going in for a 2nd Bile acid test this morning. Matise has lots of prayers on his side. I know this is a terrible thing to go through, I have had a few sleepless nights wondering . That is great that you will be off work today to be with him. Give him hugs & kisses from us. Genie |
