i am one of those with a lot yet to learn. i am not and do not ascribe to be a breeder. i am simply in love with my yorkie and to me, she is a fifth child. she is not a commodity any moreso than my sons or daughter. i consider myself a responsible adult and a humane one. yes, i'm human and therefore, prone to mistakes but when i make them, it goes without saying that it's my job to handle the fall out. i'm pretty sure this is standard for most adults? like the breeder in question here, i also happen to be a single parent. yes, there is drama, often of a uniquely stressful nature that goes along with that. still, who on the planet does not have drama and difficulty to deal with? to pull the "single parent" card as justification for refusing to deal with a self-created catastrophe....especially where the health of a living creature is involved, strikes me as neither responsible nor humane. and not to go too far off the topic, but it gives other single parents a bad rap.

the thing that really guts me here is that even now, the ducking and evading continues. i just don't understand that. it's incomprehensible to me that this breeder has not called rose. i don't even know rose but i feel like calling her myself! this is horrible.

anyhow....while i doubt it's any comfort at the moment, i just wanted to assure rose that blu is now forever burned in my memory and i have and will continue to learn from this entire horrendous situation. surely i will not be the only one. he was beautiful and it is clear how much you loved him.
what a great post this was. You really worded it well and probably summed up what alot of people are feeling - only a few actually 'know' the people involved but you can't help but feel terrible reading what we've read especially about Blu...

and yes - if the breeder can come here and read all the posts AND reply - they sure could make a little phone call - it would have probably meant alot to KYBLUE.... but now it's too late.

it is ok really i was once a single mother of three daughters and it was just that

i kept my family life out of my showing and breeding life as they were 2 seperate entinites and i could not blame one over the other so i guess i truly understood where you were comming from
and yes blu will be missed he was a lot of attidue in a small package and loved to go and show he was a true show off and did anything i aked of him he loved to please me he was one of the easiest dog to train i ever had
but now house breaking was another matter he had a stubborn streak a mile long but i will miss him as he watched out for me at night if something was amiss he would let me know while the others slept and now the silence is not golden as they say

thank you again

I am so sorry for your loss. I cant imagine how you are feeling right now. That is one of my worst fears. I worry about them so much. I know words are not much comfort right now, but you and your family will be in my prayers. He was a doll for sure, so is his sister. I do not know this breeder, but I did look at her yorkies on her web site. One of her studs, Gambler and my Chip have alot of the same names in their pedigrees. They even look alike to me. If you do not mind my asking, is Gambler related to Blu? Chip is my baby, I love him so very much, but he is different from my other babies. He acts totally strange some times.

Rose, is it okay to ask who Blu's parents, grandparents are? My husband and I are very concerned for Izzy now! I can't help but worry....she is sleeping and I just keep watching her breath.

Thanks for the info, Rose...I will go check it out right now. I know that I have already told you this, but I truly so sorry for your loss. Blu was a precious boy....I even opened his picture for my husband to see. Please know that you are in my thoughts....you have been all day! I have felt guilty for not posting my experience with Stephanie sooner. Maybe it could have helped....

Rose, I am so very sorry about the passing of your precious Blu . It's clear that you loved him so dearly and are hurting. I think it takes tremendous courage and strength for you to share his story right now. Please know you are in my thoughts.

This is not totally about the breeder and I want this to be a learning tool
when I get the results back on blu Rip my boy
I can share how he behaved and the sign and symptom maybe that will help other's this dog could have had a stroke or a blood clot or a heart attack who knows
I just know I am going off what my vet has said and there was an under lying problem to begin with we just never saw it coming
I always thought blu had an odd way about him but you know how are precious yorkies are they can be different with there demeanor I am hoping it was not a genetic thing and it was just something that cannot be passed on I just do not know I thought about it all night and he just did not act any different yesterday morning my vet feels his death was instant and there was nothing I could have done he did not choke on anything his pee and poo was normal in the morning as I watched him miss the pad again lol

blu was my pedestal dog to say it was hey mom what are ya doing or don't step back I am behind you or oh no not another bath let me hide but you can still see me
or is it bedtime yet can I get the treat bag please can I have 2 or there is a stranger in the house can I bite them he loved a great challenge he was a bull dog in a little body or how about a car ride today he was one of the greatest little dogs I have ever owned and he will be with me a very long time he made you love him he was a very demanding little fellow i really think he was part clown
so now he can run and jump and roll and get dirty if he wants and I am ok

I will share the necropsy report with steph what she does from there I cannot not control I just know I will not ever answer and email or a phone call it is my job to make sure my puppy and dog owners are happy I realize you cannot please everyone but you can at least try
I am not going to always please everyone but I have to know in my heart I have done what is right for me and my program I like my sleep when I can get it I hope all of you that have brynstar dogs may they live a very long and healthy life
I do believe that sometimes as much home work we do and research some things are meant to happen no matter what we do the future is never to be seen until it happens and it is what we do with it from there

Blue sounds like such a special, wonderful little boy. Thank you for sharing part of him with us. That last line brought me to tears - what a beautiful way to imagine him now. May he RIP.

If I read Angela's For Sale thread correctly this morning, it appears that things did not work out with Flirt's new home last night. This poor baby.
