first, i am so very sorry for the loss of blu. i am also sorry to find out his sister has health problems. if blu were mine, i'd be beyond devastated. if his sister were mine, i'd be petrified.

i am one of those with a lot yet to learn. i am not and do not ascribe to be a breeder. i am simply in love with my yorkie and to me, she is a fifth child. she is not a commodity any moreso than my sons or daughter. i consider myself a responsible adult and a humane one. yes, i'm human and therefore, prone to mistakes but when i make them, it goes without saying that it's my job to handle the fall out. i'm pretty sure this is standard for most adults? like the breeder in question here, i also happen to be a single parent. yes, there is drama, often of a uniquely stressful nature that goes along with that. still, who on the planet does not have drama and difficulty to deal with? to pull the "single parent" card as justification for refusing to deal with a self-created catastrophe....especially where the health of a living creature is involved, strikes me as neither responsible nor humane. and not to go too far off the topic, but it gives other single parents a bad rap.

the thing that really guts me here is that even now, the ducking and evading continues. i just don't understand that. it's incomprehensible to me that this breeder has not called rose. i don't even know rose but i feel like calling her myself! this is horrible.

anyhow....while i doubt it's any comfort at the moment, i just wanted to assure rose that blu is now forever burned in my memory and i have and will continue to learn from this entire horrendous situation. surely i will not be the only one. he was beautiful and it is clear how much you loved him.
what a great post this was. You really worded it well and probably summed up what alot of people are feeling - only a few actually 'know' the people involved but you can't help but feel terrible reading what we've read especially about Blu...

and yes - if the breeder can come here and read all the posts AND reply - they sure could make a little phone call - it would have probably meant alot to KYBLUE.... but now it's too late.
