| Good job Jackson... The instinct kick in and I think this is pretty cool. Dog are supposed to hunt... But on the other side, I am for sure glad the bird is ok . |

| Jackson and Gizmo should get together and go bird hunting! Gizmo did the same thing last summer. I go to check on him in the backyard and there he is with a live bird in his mouth ! He would periodically bring in dead baby birds so I wasn't too shocked when I seen he had a LIVE bird in his mouth. I had called my vet and she said it was nothing to be worried about. I was worried about diseases too!

| YT 2000 Club Member | Way to go Jackson! Glad the bird got away though. Prissy brought a bat head to us one day......needless to say we weren't thrilled. Bats are known to carry rabies. I called the vet and as Ripley says "Believe it or Not" we had to ship the bird to Little Rock, AR to have the head tested. We actually had to pick up the container and buy a BUS TICKET for this bats head to go to Little Rock. Now that was wierd! The test came back negative, but I would have done it again, because Prissy had actually been chewing on that thing. UGH!!! Sorry, didn't mean to rob your post, but when I read this, this was the first thing that popped into my mind. It was a horrible time until we got the results back on the bats head. Unfortunately, I think my girls would eat a live frog if they ever catch one..............

| Hey Jackson!! This is Edie! You da man! I have been trying to catch a bird for years! Never got one, but i still run after them every chance I get. Do you have any techniques you would care to share with me? My sister, Breezy, has caught a few birds. She is a killer! One was a big, juicy pigeon. What a mess that was! My mama was completely disgusted by that one. Keep up the good work! Edie (the bird hunter) Jones |
