| clothing Im kind of annoyed I got a new armoire for Callies stuff because she out grew hers, well my mom came down to help me put it together and shes says Callie does need clothes. Ok seriously I wanna see you just sit and watch her shake because shes cold and tell me that and if shes going to need clothes they might as well be cute right? It really bothers me when people make a comment against the clothes because I dont dress her when shes hot or its hot and I dont just dress her to be cute. I dress her to keep her warm and the things I buy most of them are cute as well as to keep her warm. I probably have to many clothes for her but o well it makes me happy and she will put her head through the head hole and arm holes so shes not fighting me because when she cold she want her nice warm clothes on and if she doesn't want clothes she will put her front paws in the air and kinda shoo me away so I wont dress her then. Ehhhh just annoyed that when people think its like torture to dress a dog because I think its torture to let them sit there shaking freezing to death.

| I understand how you feel. My friends make fun of me all the time but I try to let it get to me. Plus she likes her clothes. |

| ignore it. Mine love to dress up. When I say brush they come running. They love getting their hair "put up" and clothes put on. Mine sort of prance around like they are "all that" . Hehe Last edited by HannahandMo; 01-31-2010 at 05:55 PM. |

| I had the same experience today in fact.. Took Harley-quinn to start puppy training school and the trainer said he does not allow "his" dogs to come to class with clothes on, "they are dogs not humans" and since Harley was the only one in the class with an adorable pink and black chanel inspired sweater with her rhinestone collar on... I felt like telling him off... now anyone that knows me knows I do not let or allow people to get away with telling me something that I don't agree with just because they think their view is better then mine... My personal feeling is if I want to dress my dog like a "Human" and spend an obscene amount of money on her that is my prerogative, if they don't like it oh well she is not theirs she is mine and they can do anything they want with their dogs. I feel that he could have pulled us aside and said maybe something like could you take her outfits off when she's in class because it could get caught on something I would have been more willing to take off the outfits for class. And he is running the class like a boot camp. Which I didn't like and he is so loud that every time he spoke Harley would just shake and shake... I asked for my money back and they told me to try the other trainer before they will talk about refunding my money...

| A lot of people are really ignorant when it comes to our yorkies. They don't know they don't have the undercoat like shedding dogs to keep them warm. Esp if you have a yorkie that is shaved and it's the middle of the winter, can you imagine how cold they must be? You have to have coats and sweaters for yorkies, and while you're at it, why not choose cute ones? Who's gonna choose an ugly or boring coat for a beautiful dog?

| I have to keep mine dressed in the winter too due to cold, and often in the spring and fall Bandit still needs a sweater. Nala needs to be only dressed in the winter because she seems to keep warmer. I admit, I do have a few outfits that are cute, but they do keep them warm too! |

My friends say I need a baby girl, my mom is happy I'm dressing my fluffs and everyone else know not to say anything about my furbabies. And I agree it's our money and if my baby is freezing then out comes the sweater and if just feel like making her the prettiest girl in town out comes the bows. I'm not going to waste a minute of their cuteness because someone disagrees.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would just tell her next time she makes a comment, that at least your money is being spent on clothes for your animal and not on alcohol, cigarettes, or worse! I mean get some perspective here mom. You are a humane person looking after your responsiblities! What parent would not be proud! | |

| OK, I totally used to be one of those people who just didn't agree with dressing your dogs. I thought a jacket here and there was cool, etc but thought some people got too excessive (which, I still think SOME do) but I somehow fell into the trap! LOL. Jackson looks adorable in his hooded fur jacket. He doesn't get cold easily but during all of this snow, he gets colder faster and after about 35 minutes outside, he will sometimes start shaking esp. if he's not running around. So I feel more comfortable having him in his warm coat, plus I keep his hair really short, and I know he likes it because he doesn't put up a fight while putting it on at all. I just feel more comfortable knowing he's warm and then we can be outside longer. He never wears clothes in the summertime or when it's not necessary but of course the things I buy him for winter are all cute and adorable
