| I agree with everyone that this is a teething problem. One more suggestion is that you get those inexpensive little chew bones (made of hard rubber) and put them all over the house so you can grab one really quick and exchang it for your fingers or toes. That really helped with Adie. |

| YT Addict | axel is 4 1/2 months and we also had the same problem, it is much better as he gets older but he still has his moments, I exchange my fingers for a bone and or I have these little doggy rubber tooth brushes that fit on my fingertips and he likes to chew on those...instead of my fingers. good luck he will get better... my husband was laying on the floor and axel gabbed his ear and his razor sharp teeth split his ear! I couldn't believe how sharp there little teeth are. |

Human ears can split easily when hit in the right place with enough force, it may not have been all you pup's fault that this happened.Ouch! Sometimes if ouch doesn't work, try ouch but then cry, and rant a little. This really got to my 3 YO rescue, who must have bitten as a pup and was never broken of it. So I had a large pup with really big teeth and she knew to bite your hand to make you let go of her toy! Thankfully, ouch and crying worked, now she 's a real sweetheart, most of the time. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ex: Ouch! (hold the bitten body part) I don't believe you just bit me! Wah, wah, wah, big sniffs. I thought you liked me, but you bit me! Wah Wah Wah Sniff sniff. You really hurt my feelings. Look very sad, pouty lip (but don't let them bite your lip!) Sniff sniff. Wah! And hide your face and sniff some more. By now they may walk over to you and try to lick your hand. You can try teaching them the 'easy' command so you can back down the excitement a bit.

| Hi I have a Gizmo also and he did the same thing at that age, when he'd start bitting me I'd tell him no bites I want kisses, give me kisses and sure enough the little stinker would kiss instead of bitting. When I noticed his teeth would really bother him I would give him a frozen face cloth( wet a face cloth twist it and put it in the freezer) and he just loved those. Good luck xo |
