Is it me???

I've had dogs all my life, and while they all attached to me more so than the rest of the family... none were like Couver. Couver is my little shadow. He never leaves my side. I get up from the couch, he follows... If I leave the bedroom and leave him with the hubby, he's waiting at the door when I come back. I love how much he loves me!

I would definitely say that yorkies are more attached than most other breeds...

To be honest this breed overwhelms me. I owned a border collie for 14 years before her passing and loved her to bits , however I got Tia 6 mths before she passed on and can't believe the attachment I have formed with this 4 legged , 5lb ball of fluff. I am hoping to get another in August as she will be 2 but she knows she will be my little princesss. So yes I know how you feel.
They really are truly special that only another yorkie owner would understand.

Suzi my little one does this, Katie sits on my hubby's knee mostly. Odie (he's 7 months) follows anyone if they have food.

I recently went to a yorkie meetup and if was very easy to which yorkie was with which person/ couple. All these little dogs were standing right at their owner's feet looking up at their mommy/or daddy. Then they would go play for a minute and right back to their place. Maddie looked at me like, "you really want me to play with all those dogs, I am a people person."

my kid (my real kid my daughter is picking on me) because I joined the yorkie thingy on face book she rights only my mother would be this addicted to a dog (huh calls my baby a dog) anyway she says takes it shoping, goes an hour drive to pick special dog food, knits it clothes etc etc....I think she is jealous.

Sandy follows us anywhere we go at home. He always make sure we're somewhere near him. We took him out for a short walk in the snow on the weekends. The man was in front of him and I was at the back. Sandy always turned to see if I was coming. If I was too far away, he'd wait for me. I find that really sweet and cute.

When he's sleepy, he'll jump on my laps and makes himself comfortable before he falls asleep. If I put him to his bed, and walk away, he'll be awake and follows me everywhere I go.

Tucker is the same way.. he is my dog, follows me everywhere, when Im sitting so is he, he could be in a sound sleep and if I get up he hops up right after me. He will go to the kids or my hubby on occasion my he is certianly my dog....
However, My sheltie will do the same thing, and my toy poodle is my hubby's dog.. my beagle loves everyone.... so I think its most dogs in general.. they choose one member of the family as thier "owner"...
