Don't worry about the size. There is no guarantee even if you do see the parents. Hey at 11 weeks the ears can still come, up....we'll help you. and the overbite. That can straighten itself up...pup still has it's milk teeth and she's not finished growing.

| ![]() Congrats! Jackson has a slight over-bite but you can't tell, it's not visible unless your like sitting underneath his chin lol. It doesn't affect his health, eating, etc in any way. He was 5.5lbs when I got him at 9 weeks old and now at 1 year, he's 12lbs! His parents were both below that. So ya never know.

| ![]() I've learned so much here already- didn't know about the toy breeds not leaving the breeder until 12 wks until I got on YT. Another breeder I talked today was going to let us take a 6 week old pup. Yikes!! Nope, not concerned with perfection appearance-wise. Our schnauzer is a horrible example of the breed standard (huge bat ears that stick up instead of folding over for one), but we think she's precious and love her! |

| ![]() Welcome to YT, I have a breeder in Georgia where I got my 2 male yorkies. I didn't know what I was doing either. Hobbes (10 months old) has a overbite ( vet says he is fine) he also chooses to have floppy ears which is so cute. The breeder offered to tape them but I told her no. His parents weighed 7-8 lbs and he now weighs 12.5 lbs. So much to love and he is the sweetest big lap dog I have ever owned. The breeder raises her puppies in her house and handles them and loves on them all the time. She had already started potty training and doing small grooming skills when I got Hobbes. He was 13 weeks old when I brought him home. She did such a great job, when his parents had the next litter I went and got his brother and he is a little guy and feisty.

| ![]() I'm a newbie to this site, too and am glad to find y'all!!! As far as the overbite and ears...you never know. I had yorkies 20 years ago and because of health and work problems had to find my babies new homes. Now the kids are gone and hubbie is retired (I'm still working40 hrs!). My daughter visited with her newly adopted abused baby and I had the itch all over again! Got my Sasha in August ant grand daughter Celeste helped name her. Anyway, Sasha has ears on the large side and they flopped. So I shaved them down and they still didn't come up. I put a piece of clear packaging tape on them to hold them up and voila! Ears came up! They fell again in a day or so and the tape went back on for about three days. Those ears are up for good now but I still keep them shaved at the tips. I like to see the points. Those floppy ones are adorable, too and they look so cute with them. Sashas were sort of lopsided when we got her at 3 months. |

| ![]() Chip has an slight overbite and Smokey has floppy ears, has a little bit of an underbite, and is 2 1/2 times the size of average yorkies. Both are perfect enough for me! Congrats on your decision to get a yorkie! They are great dogs and as long as the health and temperment are good, you and your family will fall in love with any of the two. Welcome to YT!

| ![]() I called about a couple and answered an ad or two online but Sasha was the first I actually saw. I'm a fool for a yorkie and I drove about 90 miles one way for her. I live in a small town and moved here almost 4 years ago. I am SHOCKED at the young age people are letting the pups go. A co-worker bought her boston terrier from a breeder at 6 weeks! This is common here and if my girl has pups, they will NOT leave home so young. |

| ![]() Congrats on getting a new puppy and welcome to YT. Great site, I wish I found it sooner when my search began for a yorkie. I was lucky enough to learn so much when I purchased my latest baby. ![]() |
