| Well, they do say that yorkies are more like little humans than other dogs. Maybe that's why we're all a little crazy.

| Are Yorkyites "Stranger" than plain ol' dog owners? Well yorkies are not just plain ol' dogs, so I say yes! ^^^^ Yup! and I am proud of it! Except for i would change mine to REALLY anal, not just a bit.

| I thought I'd share.... JUST A DOG From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog," or, "that's a lot of money for just a dog". They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog." Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog." Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise." "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person. Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. "Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day. I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog” but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a woman/man." ~ Anonymous

Haha... I was going to say the same thing.... except, "....says the person who has a picture of their baby wearing a sweater in their avatar". LOL. Just kidding of course.... I occasionally put sweaters on Tobie when it's cold outside but he only has like 2 and I'm not really big into outfits or anything either.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I think there is a difference. The size/personality of yorkies, I think, brings out the parental instincts in us. Though I've felt the same way about all my/everyone's animals. You hear so many stories of non-dog/non-animal people falling in love with yorkies, and there must be some special reason for it.

| Speaking for myself I maybe a tad crazy about my yorkies but I couldn't imagine life any other way. They just have a big love about them.

| I've always have been "over the top" with my furbabies. I treated my golden, Burney, just like Prince, except I couldn't carry him around

| I am "relatively" new to Yorkies..our 1st is just 2 1/2 ys old. I have been around and involved with dog shows for over 25 yrs. I never really thought about this breed until my daughter(12 yrs)wanted a Yorkie, and I searched for one and bought one. I've always loved dogs..and I also own 2 Standard Poodles, and thought THEY were special! HOWEVER, NO breed can compare to a Yorkie!! OMG..they are SO smart, and cute, and easy to train, and EVERYONE that meets ours loves her! I am so enamored that I will be getting my 2nd, another girl, in a week or so! I am very excited! There is just "something" that I cannot put my finger on that I am so in love with this breed. SO, are we "different"? Maybe, because this breed is just so special..wish I would have gotten to know this breed sooner!
