I am "relatively" new to Yorkies..our 1st is just 2 1/2 ys old. I have been around and involved with dog shows for over 25 yrs. I never really thought about this breed until my daughter(12 yrs)wanted a Yorkie, and I searched for one and bought one. I've always loved dogs..and I also own 2 Standard Poodles, and thought THEY were special! HOWEVER, NO breed can compare to a Yorkie!! OMG..they are SO smart, and cute, and easy to train, and EVERYONE that meets ours loves her! I am so enamored that I will be getting my 2nd, another girl, in a week or so! I am very excited! There is just "something" that I cannot put my finger on that I am so in love with this breed. SO, are we "different"? Maybe, because this breed is just so special..wish I would have gotten to know this breed sooner!
