Personally I don't really care about papers. My Lola is unregistered and I know she is probably mixed some where down the line, shes not perfect, long legs, crooked back, not the best coat and big ears. I love her so much though. I paid the bare min. for her, just enough to cover vet shots and check up. I don't mind paying someone enough to cover their expenses. But if I am going to be paying big bucks it better be a registered dog and come from good lines. I wasn't trying to be rude at all and I personally say if you love the dog and you believe it is in good health go for it. If the dog is not for showing or breeding, it doesn't matter if it's off standard because it's going to be a loving companion. I just don't see how you can pay 900 for a dog without papers. I myself wouldn't do it, that's all I was trying to point towards. For that kind of money you should be getting the whole package. Just trying to look out for you but you seem to know better then I as you have already gotten a baby from these people and trust them.

I like the schedule recommended by Dr. Dodd's W Jean Dodds Vaccine Protocol VACCINATION PROTOCOLS AGE OF PUP VACCINE TYPE 9 - 10 weeks Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV (e.g. Intervet Progard Puppy DPV) 14 weeks Same as above 16 -18 weeks (optional) Same as above 20 weeks or older, if allowable by law Rabies 1 year Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV 1 year Rabies, killed 3-year product (give 3-4 weeks apart from distemper/parvovirus booster) Perform vaccine antibody titers for distemper and parvovirus annually thereafter. Vaccinate for rabies virus according to the law, except where circumstances indicate that a written waiver needs to be obtained from the primary care veterinarian. In that case, a rabies antibody titer can also be performed to accompany the waiver request.

Other vets may research and learn the latest from the new studies. Many vets also may not be as interested as some reputable breeders that study and research the vaccines. In that case I feel a reputable knowledgeable breeder can know more than a vet on certain issues.

Yes I suppose money doesn't matter to some. I don't know, me I'd rather donate some money to a shelter then spend a fortune on a mix, but hey that's just me.
