It could depend on the situation. Some vets may get their education and become a vet and through the years not bother to learn new information, techniques...... and stay an old school vet. Just because a vet learned information 2 to 30 years ago and it seemed to be working does not mean there isn't newer better info out there.

Other vets may research and learn the latest from the new studies. Many vets also may not be as interested as some reputable breeders that study and research the vaccines. In that case I feel a reputable knowledgeable breeder can know more than a vet on certain issues.
