| A Pee Pad is a joke to Penny Am I the only one that has a pup that thinks pee pads are a joke? She thinks they are great to tear up. Is there any spray that will attract her to use them? I take her out everytime I turn around. She is pretty good about peeing outside as long as I hurry. She loves running in the yard and playing then comes in and potties. We brought her home at 9 weeks. She is going on 12 weeks . What a joy she is. Some days I am ahead of the game and others I am pulling out my hair. |

| LOL! I remember those days well. We got Kimbo when he was 9 weeks old in July. Someone on YT told said that she actually taped the pee pads to the wooden floor w/strapping tape. It worked for me. I only had to that for 2 weeks. Kimbo is 99% trained now and has been since early September. We are pee pad only.

| Hi Marie...I tried Pee pads at first...but to no avail.....I had to crate train or Partician train (gated area)Zoe....& even with that- it took her some time to realize that she should go Outside.....LOL. She now lets me know by scratching at the door....which is something she started on her own about 3 months ago & shes 41/2yrs old. If I didnt crate her early on....she went in the house. I have thrown away many area rugs & then decided to partician an area for her when I am not around. So to my surprise.....when she started scratching at the door.....I was absolutely thrilled & cried like a baby....LOL! So best of luck.....perhaps your Yorkie will say "Yes" to the pee pads......

| You're not alone Abby tore up pee pads also. I gave up on the idea and just took her outside to do her "duty". She's doing pretty good with the potty issue. Good luck.

| lol. oh man, and they're expensive too. i just use newspaper right now, but my yorkiepoo still won't poop on it. he does keep it in his room though, so i guess i'm glad about that. i sooo want to get the rascal box and try to train him for it. it seems so awesome. i'm glad the person before me paper trained him pretty well.

| Bijou chewed up her pee pads too and still does on occassion. What helped a lot was a plastic frame that I bought to keep the pads straight. I got it at Care-a-lot pet supply. It's very easy to use and makes clean up so much easier than collecting all those cotton balls Potty training is the hardest thing. Bijou seems to think that going outside is for play time with the other dogs and once back inside she'll sneak out a spot to go pooh. I know I should be putting her on a leash indoor or x-penning her more, but I feel bad that she's locked in there all week while we're at work. But I'm going to have to start as she's 5 months old now and should be further along w/it. Good Luck!!!

We also had the same problem where we would let Penelope outside to make. She would pee one time outside and maybe poop and then come inside and pee five more times and poop again. We are still having this problem because we dont want to keep her locked up all the time in the pen where the pee pads are. She is almost eight months old and I dont know if she will ever be housebroken. | |

| Gracie loved to shred her pee pads. I got some spray potty training aid at the pet store that is supposed to attract them to use the pad, it didn't work. I switched to cloth pee pads. Problem solved.

| I would definitely recommend washable pads. They sure solved that problem for me. I now make them to sell.

| I LOVE the washable pee pads and ours took to them very easy. No tearing up We do use the paper ones for training the puppies, but once they are trained the washables are in their place

| Pee Pads Thanks for the ideas. I plan on trying them all. I have not seen the washable pads, will look for them at pet store. Also, the smellie stuff. Anything to get the idea across. |

| Gosh, they seem like a wonderful invention until a pup realized they can be shredded! Ooooh how I hate that! You wouldn't think a pee pad could turn into such a fuzzy, DUSTY mess! Let me save you a little money and tell you (from experience) that a pee pad holder-frame doesn't stand up to an experienced pee pad shredding puppy! I have tried rubbing clear deoderant on them in the past and everything....no luck. Thank goodness my last litter had no interest in them and used them for the rightful purpose PS This may not have been helpful, but you did get some empathy lol
