Potty training is the hardest thing. Bijou seems to think that going outside is for play time with the other dogs and once back inside she'll sneak out a spot to go pooh. I know I should be putting her on a leash indoor or x-penning her more, but I feel bad that she's locked in there all week while we're at work. But I'm going to have to start as she's 5 months old now and should be further along w/it. Good Luck!!! |
We are having the exact same problem. Penelope is constantly tearing up her pee pads, so my grandmother told me to tape them to her litter box. That just added more fun to her game cause she started tearing the tape off too! LOL So I went to PetCo and bought a spray that smells like urine (it really smells bad) and once I started to use that she STARTED to use the pee pads. Once in a while she will go on the pee pads but for the most part she goes next to them.
We also had the same problem where we would let Penelope outside to make. She would pee one time outside and maybe poop and then come inside and pee five more times and poop again. We are still having this problem because we dont want to keep her locked up all the time in the pen where the pee pads are. She is almost eight months old and I dont know if she will ever be housebroken.
