| havapoo help i posted in the trainig section but now im thinking there is something wrong with her, i just got her tonight, the lady i got her from had her for 2 months, she is 4 years old and all she wants to do is lay around, she doesnt play , so far she wont eat , but she is going to have to get use to raw( thats all i feed my other 2 yorkies ) but anyway, she will follow me around but wont enteract with the other 2 ( they are 6 and 8 months old ) in fact she growles at them when they get close to her, the lady who had her said she never played and she growled at her and her husband when they try and love on her. but all she wants to do is sleep, could there be something medically wrong with her ? the lady i got her from did say she was on flea meds because she had fleas really bad when she first got her and the meds they gave her killed the fleas in 30 minutes. im not going to keep giving her there meds. luckly she goes to the same vet my other 2 go to, so they will have her records, she is spayed and microchiped. any suggestions ? right now she is laying next to me and growling at the other 2 that are playing together ( they are not playing with her )

| It took 4 months and shared trip to the groomer before my 2 year old did anything more than tolerate a new addition to our furry family. If you are the second new home for her in just 2 months, she me be stressed a little and this could cause her appetite loss and lethargic behavior. Then again, she may just have a laid back attitude and laying around is what she does. Do you know much about her previous life? Could there be some trust issues or abuse? I worry about her growling at her previous owners... I would take her to the vet to make sure she has not health issues that could be causing her pain or discomfort. Keep us posted. |

| She is probably frightened and stressed and not used to other dogs. Not to mention HUNGRY. Feed her what she is used to eating and change her over to raw slowly, after she has adjusted. It takes time for adult dogs to adjust to new homes with young dogs and new foods. You should have introduced her slowly and not tried to change everything at once. give her a crate that she can go into to get away from the pups, and let her come out on her own time. Put her back on her own food and feed her away from the others. It might take weeks or even months. She has been to two new homes in a very short period of time. It's going to take time and patience and understnding and lots of love before she trusts anyone enolugh to bond with them. |

| Congrats to you! Totally agree with get her thoroughly checked out for any existing health issue. On the upside, my girlie is 10 mos and has always been laid back, sweet and well mannered. She usually wants 3-4 hard plays a day with me and the rest of the time she is laid back and quiet. I work from home and she sleeps and hangs out with me all day. She could just be a low keyed girl. Give her time to adjust to the little ones, they can be so rambunctious at that age, maybe she just isn't into all that. LOL Good luck!

| First of all , she need to adjust to your home . If you had her for a day only ,even if you have her checked by a vet , you'll have no results . Love , attention and patience , patience and again patience will do good with her . I know because it took me a year to have my little girl socialized after she spent several months in cages in puppymills . |

| the last owner didnt have any history on her, all she could tell me is that she was skinny and full of fleas, she was spayed and microchiped so that was a plus, she is very well mannered ,she knows her name, she follows me around, she doesnt need a leash ,she will go potty and come right back in , she had a doggie door at her last home so she was use to coming and going out to pee and poo on her own, she did smell really bad and had matted fur around her mouth( not any more ) i gave her a bathshe was fed science diet ,is that good food ? i gave her a bath, i brought her, her own cage with a nice soft bed, my other 2 are trying to smell her but she growles( she smells their butts though) and when i was bathing her i felt a lump under her upper right leg,she will growl at me when i pick her up, but will jump on my lap and sit to be petted, i will post pics of her she is so pretty.

That lump you felt could be painful and she may not feel well and that could be why she growls at the other dogs as well as her past owners. I would have the vet take a look at it. | |
