Sorry, but I started this thread. It began as a result of some comments made on another thread, but this is my thread.

Some awful comments were made on another person's thread. If they had issues, I wish they would've started their own threads to discuss those issues. I'd like to see a thread started on tinies. I'd like to hear from breeders and owners alike. I don't want to read brash and harsh pointed criticism that seems to give everybody a sense of entitlement to pile on more without ever thinking about what they're saying. It becomes sport.

I like your idea to get along. I agree we should be able to express our opinion. I don't think there's ever a good reason for what happened on that thread.

There have been MANY threads started about tinies...each and everyone of them were locked. do a search. you should be able to find what you are looking for there.

For example...... my son plays on a travel baseball team. When we go out of town, there are hotels that do not allow dogs unless they are "service" dogs. They would laugh at me if I were to tell the front desk clerk that I had to have my dog with me or I got lonely and depressed without her.
I am proud to be a part of this group -- I have learned so much and made a lot of friends --- don't regret being a part of something just because someone hurt your feelings or said something you don't agree with.
Like I said, if it was a comment of mine, let me know.

If the shoe fits, wear it. If you don't feel responsible, don't worry about it.

Ok, so the reasoning for the bold type????? LOL Geesh, ease up lady. This thread, although may BE YOURS, AND YOURS ALONE, did start from another thread, the 8500.00 dog.
I still don't see what you are so upset about, unless its that someone has an opinion that goes against yours. I don't see any bullying, threatening, name calling, etc.........

Are you an adult or a child? There is a HUGE difference between a Therapy Dog and a Service Dog... these two terms can not be used interchangeable (sp)

A therapy dog is usually brought into nursing homes and hospitals and is a type "therapy" for people in those places.... you know to bring a smile to their day... ect, help calm anxieties ect (these animals are not just let into anyplace the owner wants to take them) help with depression ect.

A service dog provides a service to people, you know like, opening a fridge for someone, leading the blind, picking up a dropped item, alerting a person that they are going to have a seizure... they are for the DISABLED, not the ABLED person who wants to bring their dog everywhere. Service Dogs are allowed everywhere the DISABLED PERSON goes... this is NOT TRUE for Therapy dogs.

A small yorkie would be GREAT for a THERAPY dog, but lets be honest here, do you really think a very small yorkie can open the fridge, lead the blind, pick up dropped items????????

If I may be so bold, I believe this thread was started because the bait was not taken in the other thread.... but the poster went a tad further in this thread and started calling names (but then deleted them) to make sure the bait was taken.... I guess I would be embarassed also if I were you.

I read all posts in both threads, this one and the one for the $8,500 yorkie. I didnt feel anyone was using disabled peole as "material for a new joke for your own amusement" IMO you took a piece of a 10page thread in the for sale section and posted it here in the general forum to turn it into a debate. Thats not very nice, nor was the name calling your post had before it was edited.

Thankfully the name calling you did was deleted and no one can start a new thread about that.

Should I throw around eggshells for us all to walk on? Now I'm scared to say anything. Don't want to offend certain people and don't know if I should apologize for hurting anyone's feelings. I really don't think I said anything, but no one will let me know if these semi-subtle comments are aimed at me... lol

I've tried on all my shoes, and none of them fit!!???

One of two threads about this poor little pup had 110 posts and was viewed 2,721 times. I dare say a very good number of the posts were critical of either the poster, the breeder, the groomer or the puppy itself. I saw a lot of rhetoric that felt very much like it came from a bully. I think if you re-read it, you'll certainly come up with some names that were called. I don't remember anyone threatening anyone, however, so I agree with you there.

Not only did the board come off looking like bullies, but you all managed to give the ad great prominence and I'm sure the puppy was sold long ago. Good work.

I welcome a good healthy debate and honor those whose well considered opinions differ from mine. I simply don't like bullies.

You shouldn't apologize for ANYTHING. YOU did nothing wrong here and I don't feel you said anything in a bullying manner or hurtful. I think SOME people need to grow up and check their own shoes.

I am very thankful to admin for editing my post. Even though I didn't call anyone specifically a name, I'm sure it wasn't difficult to figure out. But now you're being funny, right?

I took it out of the for sale section because a topic came up that I disagreed with and I thought it was very bad form to take it up in someone else's "for sale" thread. The bullies have followed me here. Fortunately, most of them are on my "ignore" list, and although it's not perfect since some of you post with their quotes, I suggest you place my name on yours if I trouble you. I would most certainly like to participate in this forum without controversy, but I'm not the kind who tolerates bullies easily.

I read the whole thread and I didn't feel like anyone was being a bully. I guess some are more sensitive then others.

While it's true we should not be afraid to voice our opinions it should also
be said that when we voice our opinions we should at least take peoples
feelings into consideration. Maybe I am old school here but I was taught
that just because I thought something it wasn't necessarily O.K. to air
my thoughts if they were unkind. Maturity really has nothing to do with
sensitivity. I can respect differing opinions but I don't respect being
rude to anyone in the process.
