| ![]() I just stopped in to check on things and post to you guys. Today I was much better. I checked on the guy 5 miles away that found a yorkie. It was not Cookie. He found it in the neighborhood. Had it scanned but no chip. They put some flyers up. I dont know how manydays they had it for but they said the dog was PERFECT and they fell in love with him and so did their kids. But they knew that someone was looking for him. The owners saw the flyer and called them and described the dog and had proof. because of that experience these people fell in love with the Yorkie breed and bought a yorkie puppy that they named Oliver. I met him today and he is adorable. The man was a bit scared when I showed up and put his dog in the house but I told them " Dont worry I saw him across the street and I know its not my dog" Then he brought the yorkie back outside ,his wife and kids came out to meet me. The yorkie was all over my feet licking my ankles. I told them my Yorkie is half the length of this dog so he is smaller. Now about the main lead I have. The lady is keeping her eyes peeled and contacted me 3 times today. She is going to check again in the morning since no one is home to pinpoint the apartment where the tiny bark is coming from. She will call me. If I go , Iwill go with my husband. I mentioned to Richard how big my hubby is. BIG 19inch arms and lifts weights everyday. I would call the cops when we are there. I know if my husband sees for a fact that it is Cookie that he will NOT ask questions. He would grab him and dare them to do something. So prefer for cops to be there and all this can be avoided.I will let you guys know if any serious updates happen tomorrow. Gen |

| ![]() My heart is absolutely breaking for you - I can't begin to imagine how difficult this is. Just an idea...have you considered hiring a private investigator that can watch this apartment complex?? I know the woman is helping you - but having someone that could just sit there all day and watch - and call you if/when he sees the dog. He/she could also get pictures so you can know if it is Cookie or not. I also like the idea of having managment go into the apartment, but feel this could be potentially risky. If management is friendly with the woman who has the dog - this could really backfire... Another idea - we have girl scouts selling cookies here right now - any chance you could go door to door selling something - to determine where the bark may be coming from? Continuing to send hugs and prayers from NH, |

The k9pi dot com people are almost on the pay scale of attorneys! I also like the idea of having managment go into the apartment, but feel this could be potentially risky. If management is friendly with the woman who has the dog - this could really backfire... You are so right! That's why there hasn't been a response to that idea. In some cases it would work but not all, and you hit on the one that could blow the lead. Another idea - we have girl scouts selling cookies here right now - any chance you could go door to door selling something - to determine where the bark may be coming from? I sure don't know everything but I suggested to Gen to keep some stealth on when she looks at this one. If they won't look for a dog's owner and they're guilty then they sure won't like to see anybody snooping around for any cause. It's a good idea, but it might be best if Gen's landing comes at a complete surprise. Wasn't it Kojak on TV that said 'GOTCHA!' That's how I think this should go. No warning. |

Depending on the person who works there and the situation (management could know they have a new dog) they may just get served a notice right away. As much as I'd hate to say it, someone who just picks up a random dog without caring about the owner.... isn't going to think about putting it back on the street if they get a cease and desist notice because they're not allowed or can't pay another pet deposit. If this is Cookie that would potentially be a horrible horrible thing. | |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I really really hope you find Cookie!! I know somewhat how it feels to have a dog missing. On Christmas day I went into the dog room and only one of my yorkies was there, and I started to panic and go nuts. ![]() But I've had some really really close calls, my yorkies are so crafty with trying to escape. Once I was checking my mail, and I see Manolo just walking towards me. I was so shocked!! How did she get outside?! They can be so independent sometimes. I pray that Cookie will answer your call and come home soon. May God bless you on your search for Cookie, and if anyone dognapped Cookie, I hope they find it in their hearts to return what is not theirs!!

| ![]() Gen, honey I am praying for you. But you are right to be extremely cautious around these people. My husband is a police officer also, I know what kind of people are out there. I'm really concerned by the fact that #1 they said they were not looking for the owner and #2 the person in contact with you is obviously scared of them to the point that she won't even be seen talking to you. Sounds like these people are not the kind that you want to deal with without some police backup. I pray that this is cookie and that these people somehow grow a heart and give him back to you. |
