I called animal control in my area.humane society. Called my vet and let them know he is missing and they made a note of his AVID chip ID number. I printed another 100+ flyers and left this morning by 7 am. I put 1 by each mailbox flag. The animal control rep told me since he is small that 80% of small dogs are actually in someone's home because people take them in. usually they call animal control when its a big dog.

My husband just ordered 1,000 flyers with two color photos on them.
I dont know how other people do it but I did not sleep and had nothing but coffee. I got in bed by 1 am exhausted and as soon as my head hit the pillow I just broke down in tears.Tears kept flowing for another hr or so until I got up at 2 am and sat in our living room hoping to hear scratching at the door.Went outside with a flashlight. Got up again at 5 am hoping the sun was up already...

I'm praying for the safe return of Cookie to your loving arms. This is a horrible nightmare, I'm sure. Hang in there, God be with you and your family.

Cookie has 53 candles lit for him from 3 countries. We are all trying to help with our prayers. Someone has to know something. How could someone just get into your yard and take your baby??? And without the others barking??? I'm sure there are knowledgeable people here who could give you more suggestions.
Your story made me hug my babies a little tighter last night.

Isit possible that a hawk could have gotten him, or that he was stollen?

Gen...you need to (if you haven't already) start knocking on
EVERYBODY'S door in your neighborhood and literally talk to
them. If someone locally does have him in their home...and
is thinking they just found a stray, they may have more compassion
seeing you in person knocking at their door and will return him.

I have a good feeling that you'll be with Cookie again very soon!
