| ![]() Gen, I think you should come up with some sort of spiel to give at each house. Say something to the effect that: 1--I have reason to believe my dog is in this neighborhood 2--I think whoever has him found him thinks he is a stray and is keeping him 3--I think this person would want me to have my dog back if he/she knew how much I loved this dog. 4--I am offering a generous reward for the person who RESCUED my dog from the streets... 5--Have you my dog in your neighborhood? By saying something like this, you are giving the guilty(?) party a way out without appearing to be guilty....The person will actually FEEL GOOD about giving your dog back, even tho he may be guilty as sin. Lorrie's words haunt me. I hate to think of little Cookie confined to a cage and unable to get to his mama. |

| ![]() I would also mention his name a lot when you are at someone's door. He might hear you and then start barking. I would talk kind of loud like I had a hearing problem.

| ![]() ok, here's a crazy idea. Remember one of the YT members here had this very specific dream about the house that she thinks Cookie is being kept at? and the kids and the waman with blond hair, I think? I would definitely keep that in the back of my mind when walking those blocks. But another thing you can do is you can maybe google earth the street and look at the aerial view of all the houses on that street and compare it to her description of the backyard. See if you see anything that remotely resembles that description. Oh god, my heart is seriously beating like crazy, when you think Cookie is sooo close, yet still so far. Hang in there Gen. what does your husband think about all this?

| ![]() Omg Gen! I just knew that Lorrie would be of some help to you. Her words are haunting. I find it really disturbing that someone actually took him purposely. You must be so angry and upset because I know that I am! Google Earth is a fantastic idea. They now have "street view" which they've been updating daily to add more and more homes. Hopefully your area has been updated already. It is just like you are walking down peoples streets. I looked at my house and could see the neighbour outside playing hockey with his kids, and all the things in my carport. It may be helpful and is worth a try if Lorrie gave you any specific details on what the house or yard looks like. I really hope that what Lorrie told you helps in your search, and you find Cookie. (((BIG HUGS))) And of course, continued prayers for Cookie.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Gen I check in daily to see if Cookie has been found. Alas not yet. I think you are getting some wonderfull advice on here. We all wish we could do more. I like the idea of the google street map view. I truly hope and pray that Cookie is safe and warm until he can be in your arms again.

| ![]() this is really tragic: I often dream that one of mine is missing and it's heart stopping. Was the dog in heat or going into heat? Are there other dogs in the vicinity? Do you live in the country where there might be birds or other animals around, as a 4 lb yorkie is about as big as a rabbit. I'm sorry if this sounds cruel but there is always a chance that he could have been picked up. I will keep up with this thread and have you in my heart and prayers. |

| ![]() The Google Earth idea is good and it lets you get an idea of what to expect before you go cruising down there. Just so you know, it isn't real-time. Are there any security cameras in your area? Maybe I've been watching CSI too long, but that stuff gets recorded and saved for a while. The local police could help with that. No, I'm not strange LOL!!, just suggesting resources that you might not have thought of yet. |

| ![]() I check in several times a day, hoping for good news. My friend knows a woman who lost her dog for a month and then got him back, so don't give up hope. My friend also said that the guy who took your dog, if he actually did, should be locked in a crate with a hungry Rottweiler. (No disrespect to Rottweilers. ![]() |

No coyotes here either. I have been talking to a wildlife expert and she told me Depending where you live a hawk would pick up a small dog but what we have here in Florida, these are hawks are too small and if by any chance it did pick it up it would immediately drop it because of the weight. And the screams are unimaginable she told me that I would have heard those screams for sure. Gen

Honestly the last thing on my mind is pressing charges. I want Cookie here and we can pickup our lives again. There are tons of things that I'm not getting done around here because my mind is on Cookie all the time. Trust me I am so hurt thinking and knowing in my heart that he is miserable where he's at. I'm not thinking of the person who took him , just getting my little guy back. Gen

This means there would have to be a solicitation for a dog for sale, but it worked in their case.
