| I have had pups who's ears did not come up until they were nearly 6 months old. I also have had a pup who's ear tipped at 5 months and never came back up. It can be frustrating but I would hope you love your baby just the way he is. Some people actually like the floppy eared look, even though it is not correct. Just keep shaving the ear and feed him a good quality puppy food. Another tip it to make sure the pups ears are clean and free of infection. If you notice him shaking his head or scratching his ears that could indicate he has a problem. It really bothers me when people automatically think a dog is poorly bred just because it has floppy ears or some other physical fault and that the breeder is a bad breeder. Even show breeders, not matter how careful they plan a breeding, will occasionally have a pup that just does not meet the standard. These are sold as pet pups. Pet pups are just as sweet and lovable as a 'perfect' pup but they just cost less. All pups deserve loving homes no matter what they look like. |

| If your not breeding or showing him it doesnt matter at all that his ear is floppy. My Jewels ears were floppy when she was a young pup and i wanted them to stay down because I thought they were so cute but they ended up standing.

| Yogi is 14 months old and if I don't stay on top of keeping his ears trimmed his right one especially will flop. He has soooo much hair and his ears just aren't as strong as his sisters. I usually have to trim nearly the entire back sides down to the base to keep them up. If not it'll flop in such a way as to appear he's signaling for a right hand turn. ![]() Sometimes he'll come up to me, "Momma, my earz is broken, fix it, ok?" During his teething it didn't matter how much hair I cut off, that right one would flop.

| Our male is almost 5, both of his ears are large and floppy. When he was little I taped them. When I took the tape off his ears stood for about 3 days, then flopped. I could have retaped them but I realized I like the floppy look better on him. A year later we got a female, who is just 4, she has one standing ear and one floppy ear. It adds to their personalities and they are my loves. My avitar is Sissy one up one down

| Bella Mias pups are 19 weeks old (if I counted right) both her and the daddy have perfect little ears that stand straight up with no issue........3 of their pups ears are all up nice and pretty, one pup has one ear up and one sortta up but if flops and then there's Sherman Tank....his ears have no chance and we love him ears up ears down doesnt matter his ears fit his goofy puppy personality.....your Coby is a cutie....
