I think he is scared or upset....Any ideas on to what the problem is? How long will it take for bentley to love us again? Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Just give it time! They aren't usually too happy at first, but they bond quickly. Just give it a week or so. Bently still loves you, he just wants to know what the heck this thing is!! lol. i'm sure they'll be best buds soon! congrats on the new addition!

They are something else, I was so upset and crying because as much as I wanted Tori, Lexi is my heart and I so did not want her sad, or unhappy. She is a snot to cuz anytime we don't do what she wants she turns her head the other way and wont look at us. (I think she is smart cuz she knows I hate to see her mad, or sad) When he starts coming around he wont play much with her but will atleast acknowledge she is there. Just make sure that you feed him first and give him attention while she is out of site. (or atleast that helped for us)

| One thing that we do as new moms and dads is try to work out the social structure of our dogs. It doesn't work. They have customs that are thousands of years old and that is how they have evolved and survived. Do not let one hurt the other but they do need a little "jawin" that is WV for tussle a little bit. No one can get vicious or hurt the other. I don't know the difference in their size but they will work in time. Pick up Bentley and hold him for a minute or two telling him what a wonderful (nicknames work here) he is and continue the praise without chnging your tone. Reach down and pick up Newbie and without changing your hold or anything just hod both babies in your arms. Stroking each and telling them how wonderful it is to have a playmate. (Bentley is probably thinking Yeah, right. I will show who is whose playmate as soon as they leave the room") which is my second piece of advice. Do not leave them unconfined in the same room. Recipe for trouble.. Just about the time you get exasperrated, they will work it out and look at you as if to say "What is YOUR problem?" Enjoy those younguns. |

| Well that took all of 6.75 hours. Karlee woke us up at around 3:30 so we went and checked on her. I had her in the living room walking around and kelly got Bentley up and brought him in. He was scared at first, he ran from her for about 5 mins. Kelly then took Bentley out to potty and upon returning he became a skiddish curious. Another 5 minutes and he was playing with her. it was then we realized this.....Bentely and her will play together.....and.....she is the bossy female. Karlee was barking and growling at Bentely. she would rear up and paw at him and then he would run at her and lay down....then run off to be chased. This is new to us because Bentley didn't bark or growl until at least 10 weeks. We are thrilled that the are now semi getting along....but a little worried that we will have our hands full with this little girl. -Brett

| That's exactly how Lacy acted when I first brought Cruz home. They get so used to being the only baby in the house, then when another comes they get upset. Lacy wouldn't have anything to do with me for about a week. About 3 days into it I told myself that if Lacy didn't start to warm up to Cruz or start acting normal with me then I would give Cruz back to the breeder. But she finally ended up coming around a little over a week after Cruz had been home!! They're the best of friends now!! Just give it some time!! I'm sure your baby will get used to it!!! |

| Graff was the same way with Haylee. It took about a week then he would play with her when he thought no one was looking. I wouldn't say they are best buds yet but do play once in a while. And he does watch over her closely and goes after the cat if he thinks the cat is playing to rough with her. Lora, Graff and Haylee |

| Yes, give it time. When we got Sampson, Gracie went into a deep, dark depression. She would not eat, got diarrhea and moped around the house for about two weeks. We were so worried. She did come around finally and now the two of them cannot go anywhere without the other. Hang in there.
